Very Tough and Durable.
This is my second one. The first one lasted almost 5 years-first phone was an 8, then SE, then and now the newer SE2. The phone is in my pocket, at the gym, with me riding bike, taking hikes-everywhere so for me it has been an excellent purchase.

Phone shattered during installation
This case is so stiff and tight that the back of the phone shattered during installation. I don't see any other reviews like this, so maybe it's just me - I'll mark this down as user error. However, beware and be careful when fitting cases to the glass backed iphone models. I've used many Otterbox products on other phones, for me and my kids, they are good products.

Performs as promised! Love OtterBox
I have veen using OtterBox cases for several years. I decided to downsize and get this thinner case as opposed to the Defender Series I’ve always used. I was a bit hesitant because it looks so thin and fragile, but I’ve dropped it a few times and it holds up! No damage to my phone, and I still have peace of mind thanks to this case.

Not good for protection
Not real good on protection. I thought it was more like the other one that comes in 2wo pieces, and it feels like I’m going to break my phone getting it in and out. It doesn’t fit with any holster either so you got to buy a separate thing to hold on to it.

No screen protection
The iPhone 8 OtterBox is fine as is, but doesn’t provide any screen protection at all.

Bulky but durable
The case seems durable, but for a so-called slim case I find it bulky. I really have to press down on the on/off button to get it to register. On the plus side, I'm not worried about breaking my phone.

Slim & Protective!
I love the feel of the case in my hand. The hard plastic does not offer much grip, however that does not bother me. The case is very protective and snugly fits to the phone. It is slim despite the hard plastic and relatively light weight, which is definitely a positive!

Terrific case
I accidentally left the phone outside. A strong rainstorm blew in, and it poured... of course, I did not remember that I'd laid it down outside, while gardening... and then realized my mistake... I thought for sure that I'd 'trashed' my new phone, given to me as a present from my kids... Well, lo and behold, after letting it dry out a bit, the phone was not damaged or destroyed at all, as I thought it would be! Wow!! Great protective 'jacket' this Otter Box! I am very grateful!
