OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES Case for Apple iPhone Xs Max - Stardust (77-60086) - New

I bought this about a month ago and it scratches very easily. It looks like I have had it for years. Not sure how well it protects because I have been a lot more careful with it (not letting my kids hold it). I loved my defender case but decided I wanted something a little less bulky so I went with this one. Not sure if I’m happy with my choice.

I've had two, soon to be three of these cases in the span of 2.5 years. I love the Stardust, the shimmer in it is gorgeous, but the longer it stays on my phone, things happen. The soft rubbery part that goes over the controls on the sides, starts to idk, open. It has happened to BOTH cases I have had.

Very light case. It has a shiney, flat finish. The picture looks like a matte finish with raised and possibly rough surface. Not at all. The Spiderman case is so much cooler than this one. Too bad.

I am very happy with my purchase, the case is really pretty and thin which was I was looking for. I have dropped my phone and the case did its job protecting my phone, although I already have a small crack in the phone case itself. I am also a little disappointed in how easliy the phone case got scratch up in the back. But overall good, I would recommend to everybody.

The cash says scratch resistant, but the back of the case looks as if a cat and their cows for a hold of it just from regular usage. the sides of the case began to turn a dingy-dirty color quickly. I just decided to order an all Black otter box.

SUCKS! I bought this case be it advertised “scratch resistant” it’s a lie! It’s all scratched up. Wates Of money!

I had so much trouble putting the case on. I guess mine is faulty piece as the videos on YouTube showing demo looked pretty easy

I purchased this case for a new iPhone XS Max. The case is nice and snug and fits the phone perfectly. I am a little disappointed how scratched up the case is after one week of regular use, on and off the table or in and out of my pocket. I have not dropped the phone so that is not the cause of the scratches.

I bought this case a few weeks ago, and at first, I was very happy with it, but it’s already filled with scratches and looks bad. And I haven’t dropped it or done anything other than usual. I’m very sad about it.

I bought this case a few weeks ago and I am highly satisfied. However, it does scratch VERY easily which is okay but kind of annoying :)

Unfortunately easy to scratch and then it looks everything but “clear”

After using for 2 days, it’s beyond scratched up. I don’t use my phone heavily. Just placed it in my work desk a few times and wireless charger and I stopped using after 2 days because of how ugly it got.

I have used otterbox cases for most of my iPhones over the years and I have to say that they offer great protection while maintaining the sleek design of the phone. I have recently purchased the otterbox clear symmetry case for the iPhone Xs Max. The case is great and does the job at protecting the phone. The reason for the three star review is that it scratches incredibly easier than any other otterbox case that I have, and after only a couple of days of light use the back of the case had multiple scratches, which being clear make them increadibly easy to see against the new phone. So overall great case just a shame about its durability scratch wise considering it’s cost.

First off, it’s a SUPER snug fit. Took about five minutes of my brawny husband to muscle it in. I assume the phone got scratched in the process, but I don’t want to attempt to remove the case to check. I expect that when I upgrade my phone again next year, it will be sent in with the case still attached. I was also excited for a totally clear case to show off my new gold iPhone Xs Max. However, the edges of this case are not perfectly clear, but are more of a textured, cloudy looking clear. Bummer, since the edges of the new gold phone is what I was especially excited to show off. But in this case, you can barely see it. First time I’ve been disappinted in an Otterbox product. I’ll keep it, mainly because I’m not sure I can get it off my phone to return it. Oh well, hopefully it will keep my phone safe at the very least...

Bought for my XS Max but already has quite a few scratches on the Back. Material is good protection as you would expect from otterbox but really susceptible to scratches. Not impressed so far and will probably have to change to another case soon

I really love the protection otterbox gives my phone- but this is second time I’ve purchased this particular case (symmetry clear) and just a few days pass- the back is SO SCRATCHED and I’m not careless with my phone at all. Few weeks pass and the rubber-like material on the sides turns from a nice clear to an UGLY greenish color. I gently rinse and wash this case once a week and still discolors

Had this clear case on the iPhone X (2017) and it turned yellow pretty quickly. Since the case is a combination of clear rubber and clear plastic. Only the rubber around the edges of the phone got yellow. The back of the case is clear plastic and didn’t yellow. Just something to think about before you buy this case. I bought this symmetry clear case again for the iPhone Xs Max because I love showing off the color of the phone and it provided great protection from my experience with the iPhone X symmetry clear case. I dropped that phone from high and low and never ever saw damage. I just wish the case wouldn’t yellow so fast and I expect this to happen to this iPhone Xs Max case in the near future seeing as it’s the same exact symmetry clear case as last years just bigger. A worthy note, they did change the click-i-ness of the buttons on this iPhone Xs Max case. They are now much easier to press. Last years buttons on the symmetry clear case for the iPhone X was super stiff and almost impossible to adjust volume.
