Zero hold
very hydrating yes but this has no hold at all. I tried to used it for a wash and go as well as a slick back and I hated all the results 😭 I have no idea who this would work well for, the texture is strange and it doesn't not dry down or add hold. for reference I have 3b-3c hair very dry with coils. I much prefer their purple gel instead !

I gotta agree with the other reviewers that the smell is insanely strong, and the scent continues to linger till wash hair again. However, my hair stayed defined while staying flexible, so I'm happy.

Did not work for me
I have been a 20+ years Ouidad user. I was so thrilled to see this product as my hair has been changing due to hormones. My hair has needed some Xtra hold and I had been using hairspray for that support. I hate hairspray!! I used this product for a week and it does not work for me at all. I feel it is much to heavy for me and did not give me any extra hold or even give me a gel cast. On the good side, my hair was shiny.

STRONG fragrance!
The fragrance of this gel is WAY too strong! The gel itself works well but the smell was enough to give me a terrible headache. The smell lingers too, even after your hair dries. Sadly had to return it.

My hair looks amazing
My hair respond okay to the red bottle but it still gets frizzy no matter what, not with this. This is amazing, i forgot to wrap my hair last night and i still have no frizz

I absolutely love Ouidad.
Another hit from the line and my fine 2c/3a curls love it. It offers great hold without being stiff, tames frizz, and is moisturizing enough that I don't personally need a leave in. It leaves a slight cast that completely comes out with a light scrunch ir two. It has a light clean scent, but nothing offensive and it doesn't stick around. It's somewhat pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for- the quality's on point. Highly recommend.
