only gel that holds my edges down
i have short curly hair that i like to wear in waves. i use this gel to lay down my edges and no other gel or edge control lays my edges as good. it doesnt flake and leaves my edges looking shiny and smooth. usually lasts all day unless im sweating alot or my hair gets wet.

Okay Product
For me it flaked 5 minutes after putting the gel in. It wasn't a dry flakey, it was a wet flakey. It does hold the curls, but it stands out in your hair with white spots.

My happy mistake!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually bought the Strong Hold Gel by mistake and because I was too lazy to return it, I decided to try it. I wet my hair and used a curl brush to apply this to my hair in small sections and to my surprise, this gel gave my the curl definition I had been looking for without finger coiling!!! When my hair dried it did not leave my hair stiff or flaky. I love all of my Pattern Beauty products and can not live without my Strong Hold Gel! It works well if you want to slick your hair back too. It's definitely a must try!

Great hold but doesn't weigh hair down!
This is the perfect gel for if you want definition and volume. I've always used gel that defined my curls but would weigh my hair down and dry it out. This does the opposite keeps it moisturized and defined. I used it with the leave in and styling cream. Definitely get it I have 3c hair for reference

LOVE IT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SOOO glad I tried this one. On my wash and go days, I apply the leave in, then curl custard, and then this hold gel on my very short/shaved sides. Even the morning after my curls are holding it down! Just refresh with either a spritz of water, hydrating mist, or I simply hit it with the steamer to loosen the curls.
