The Doux Pop Lock 5-Day Curl Forming Glaze - 8 fl oz

I’ve decided to use this product without mixing with other brands, which is how I started out, using just one of the four wash & go products first. It worked out so well and my curls were popping.

I applied this product to clean, wet hair, diffused it, and it dried like sand. My hair was thickly coated with a sand-like substance, as well as my neck and shoulders.

The first time I tried, didn’t like. I paired with another Doux styler and big mistake. The crunch was unreal. This was my only styler and wow! I’ve been out in these streets melting away and my hair has stayed the course. No frizz and curls look fabulous!! I’m sticking with this until summer is over. I’m sweating way too much!!!

I love this product! Easy1-product routine and my 3B hair is defined, frizz free, and soft. Some gels give me frizz free definition and strong hold but leave my hair sticky and crunchy—not pop lock. It’s the best! I get a week out of my wash and my hair still looks perfect leaving it down at day 5. Please never discontinue this perfect product!

I started using THE DOUX product line about 5 years ago. I absolutely love how Maya gives step by steps instructions on how to use each product. I have 4C thick hair and thinner grade in my crown. I had to makes sure my hair was SOAKING wet in order for the POP LOCK to work correctly. I then racked it through my hair. I have no patience for sectioning my hair. Once I had the product evenly distributed throughout my hair. I sat under my hooded dryer for 15 minutes, then diffused 12 minutes until dry. I finished my stretching my roots. It was a matter of learning HOW to use this product that made it so much easier for me.

I seriously live in fear of them discontinuing this product. To me, this is the best thing they make! I have 3C/D hair- that gets frizzy. I used to do EVERYTHING. Name of product, I’ve used it. Mielle, Camille, shea moisture, ouidad, innersense, Briogeo, pattern, TGIN. I also used to work for NaturallyCurly- so I am skilled in curls. Believe me when I say this miracle saved me from using leave in, then cream, then gel. It’s wild how this is all I need for a full week! Just apply to damp hair and finger style in same sections. Take your time for the best results. Literally smooth each strand and you will be SHOCKED! It also is perfect for my son’s hair! I order 10 at a time!

Worst product I have ever bought. I used a small amount and my hair stuck together, matted up, and my curls wouldnt clump together. I had nothing but stringy strands and ZERO curl clumps. I added a bit more thinking I put too little and my hair felt horrible. I had to wash it out twice after I had taken a shower and it completely dried my hair out. I am sticking with Not Your Mother's. THIS IS A HORRIBLE PRODUCT

I think this is for 3c hair or looser. It wasn’t enough on its own for my 4a hair. I had to add pattern beauty custard on top for it to look good. It dries fast and gave good length though.

Not even a little impressed. No way this lasts 5 days. Didn't even last 1. Instantly made my hair feel horrible, so forget about a refresh the next day.

I have short hair and that's how long it took from soaking wet to dry. That's the good news. It does not hold 5 days. It's the not so good news. This would be good to use with another gel if you need that sort of hold. The other thing is that I swim and even though my hair stays dry under a cap, the pop and lock glaze softens and loses its hold. I have to wet my hair again and reapply and this time I used two gels. So let's see what happens. What I did like was that of the first application after it dried it felt soft even though it had a good hold. It just didn't last.

I’ve tried this several times in different combinations — no oil, of course — but it leaves my 2c-3b combo hair dry as a bone with frizzy flyaways like crazy.

This has unbeatable definition. Your hair could easily last a week while looking like the first day you put the product in. My only problem with it is that it provides no moisture. The curls were definitely popping but so so dry.

Wash n Go is all I do so to have a one and done is perfect! I gave this a try just to see. This gives just enough hold to last about 5 days. My hair was LITERALLY ready to get washed by day 5. It does what it says so I'm gonna 5 star this! This can easily cut your hair cost down lol. If you're looking for extended styles, try the other products! But if you keep it simple and cool with that, this is the one for you

I'm Mediterranean w/thick, coarser curly hair, very prone to poofy frizz & was desperate to find a replacement for a biolage gel. Once I figured out how to use this: just enough distributed / raked through & diffuse to 99% dry. WOW!!! Perfect curl pattern, but silky - not hard!! Day 2 Easy to refresh w/wet palms & gentle 'mushing' (wash day perfect!), Day 3 ran heated brush to straighten into silky straightness - no additional product!! Not only does this firmly hold a curl pattern w/zero frizz but how it performs for days is WOOOOOW. Will buy this forever. This is a holy grail gel for girls w/mid texture (not super coarse or fine). So hard to find, in love!

I've been using the Doux Big Poppa for months. Loving it! Yesterday, I bought the Pop Lock Wash + Go and using it on my next hair washing. I'm excited to see the outcome.

It works...however; you will need to use a specific styling technique called shingling. I usually do my hair in the shower- which is good because your hair needs to be soaking wet when you apply it....The shingling method requires you sections your hair and pull the product through your hair from root to end. The product is super light so you might use more that what you need to make sure you have full coverage. Pros. You only need to use one product. Great for fine 4c hair. It gives a consistent appearance of curls even on areas of the head that is loosely coiled. Cons: it will leave your hair feeling crunchy (just break the cast with oil) it's super light formula will have you using more than what is needed but if you you use less you might not get a consistent result.

The product is great. I applied it to my hair the njgjt before going on vacation in a humid climate and hy curls held up on a windy boat ride, 80% humidity and late evenings with the boo thang. Refreshes easily with water. Would be a 5 star product if it weren’t for the smell. It’s really not my cup of tea, stinky floral . And it’s soooo strong!

I've been using products I bought and tried once but didn't seem to like and assume it's because I didn't follow the directions in the bottle. Well, I pulled it out and used it solo on my wet hair and BAY-BEE curls were popping IMMEDIATELY! I love the firm hold. I like a wash and go to last a week so I prefer the products that have the firmest of holds.

I finally got the curls I want!! My hair is soft and shiny and I love it!!
