A: Unlike what the last answer said, they are NOT the same. The blue is oil based and the clear is water based. The clear holds stronger than the blue.

I have really tight coily 4a/b hair that doesn't respond well to most products, however, this has become my go to gel. Not only is it super affordable, it's really easy to apply with little to no flash drying and lasts for almost a week. My only wish was that they made smaller containers as its hard to fit on a typical shower shelf.

Wish I had read ingrediants better... approx. 6 weeks ago started using this gel. Noticed more hair in shower drain but pushed it off as stress or something. Until my hair fell out in the shower like a horror movie. The only reason I "know" it was the gel, the clumps of hair ONLY fell out where I applied the gel. I'm not talking few extra strands, but handfuls of hair and a doctor visit. Not good for all hair

I really wanted to like this gel since it’s the only one that seems to be marketed towards people with thick hair (hence the XL container), but I have decided to move on because it has a short hold duration and causes my scalp to be extremely itchy. My hair will look beautiful on day 1, but already looks frizzy and very shrunken on day 2, it just doesn’t have a lasting hold. I have coily hair.
