My review is not for the doll itself. It’s for the website, description and photo of the doll. My daughter was so excited to receive an Our Generation doll for her birthday. She specifically asked for a doll that looked like her — she’s mixed (Black and Mexican), with curly light brown hair and medium tan skin. I searched 3 Target stores and all dolls were either black with curly dark brown hair in styles that cannot be brushed or white dolls with straight brown hair that don’t look like hers. We did find a girl with curly hair that could be brushed but she was white. Determined, I went online and based on the photos and description on Target.com, this doll looked like a great match! Unfortunately, when the doll arrived, the skin tone was SO much darker than what was shown online. While the doll is beautiful like her, it didn’t reflect my daughter’s skin tone which is really important to her. She still doesn’t have a doll that looks like her. (For reference, my hand in the picture holding the doll — I am medium tanned skinned.) She already has dolls of all different colors and styles, but she was really hoping for one that finally looked like her. It was disappointing to see her open it on Christmas morning and feel like the one doll she thought would represent her… didn’t. I hope Target can update the images online to more accurately show the skin tone or better yet, make a doll that represents girls that are not black or white. There are girls in between with curly hair that aren’t black— representation matters, and clear listings and more choices would really help parents and kids feel included.

This beautiful doll bundle is an excellent value - it includes so many items for imaginative play! I appreciated that it came in a "normal" box so it was easy to just open and play without having to wrangle each item out of plastic packaging. We love OG at our house - Malia was a welcome addition to our collection.

The package was a great set, the puppy, the wagon, and the luggage were very sturdy and well made. She did think the treats were multiple little treats and was a little disappointed about them being in a huge pile but I understand that as a parent.

What I like about the toy is that it comes with a small puppy and a trash can and it has everything a vet needs to help a pet and I have a animal rescue jeep that I got for my birthday it takes up alot of room and I love it

I had high hopes for this doll but was disappointed when it arrived and was wobbling instead of walking, one leg was way shorter than the other and to be honest I wanted to return the doll and everything with it but my daughter loved the doll anyway so we kept it. Be careful when purchasing these dolls online.
