A: That's an excellent question. Our lids are not designed to be interchangeable. Doing so is either impossible, or it will degrade the performance of your bottle leading to a poorly fitting lid or leaking around the threading. Interchanging lids will void the warranty. Warning the plastic finish to create the opalescent finish will scratch very easily. I had it in a bag for a two days trip and just being in my bag damaged and scratched the finish. Owala warranty considers this normal wear and tear. This finish should be considered a material defect given its inability to hold up given only two days of use.

How many water bottles do you already own? A lot. Do you need this one? Surprisingly, YES. The spout on this one is pure genius. You can sip like a straw or chug. The kids love it. After trying it out, I got a larger one for workouts. Pros: Easy to clean straw set up. Wide mouth bottle to easily clean the inside. Complaints: If you get the matte finish, it gets scratches a little too easily for the price point IMO. If you get the shiny finish, it’s slippery when wet. When Target shipped them, they were not individually wrapped in the box and got scratches during delivery.
