    Diminished Quality

    OXO used to have amazing quality when it comes to their kitchen utensils. Unfortunately, it seems like over the years they started cutting corners. The jar spatulas used to have a much thicker silicone coating over the metal rod, but this newest one that I bought is super thin! When you hold the spatula up to the light, you can clearly see the metal rod on the inside. The spatula head is so thin that I fear it will rip after only one use. Such a same, especially at the price point, I can get a better spatula somewhere else.

    I love using this spatula. It has come in very handy when making sourdough. The spatula is soft so it will not scratch anything. It also is able to get into tight spaces.

    Scrape, scoop snd mix with one utensil

    I questioned myself over whether to buy this because I already have similar, large spatulas. I use this more than any other spatula. It scrapes clean mayonnaise jars, peanut butter jars, tuna pouches, yogurt tubs, sour cream tubs, etc. It is sturdy enough to scrape, scoop and mix (like a spoon). Then, it goes right in the dishwasher. It’s long enough to easily reach the bottom of containers. (The only thing that would make it even better would be if it was heat resistant and could also be used while cooking.)

    OXO jar scraper design is the best

    I like to feel and heft of the spatula and the solid grip. It’s the only design I’ve found with a slight scoop so it works really well for twisting in both directions for whatever it is you’re trying to get every last morsel of.
