Love the concept and look but not the quality.
I love the concept, but it comes apart a lot. Even when I am doing the dishes all of a sudden you hear a pop and all of the water drains out. I am on my second stopper thinking maybe I bought a defective one. So not the case.

Bad.
I’ve bought two of these. In concept, they sound great. In practice, both of them failed to work after two uses. The pieces all come apart too easily, I assume for cleaning, but the design of it renders them virtually functionless. Just get a normal steel food catcher and a seperate, solid sink stopper for actually filling a sink if needed. These are awful.

Do not buy.
Lasted for 3 months and then fell apart in pieces. Blocks the drain until you keep twisting it with a sink full of muck. Ugh, disappointed especially because it’s OXO.

Works well
We have used one in our sink for a couple of years. They work well and it is easy to clean. Make sure the seal is tight when placing in the sink. Sometimes when releasing the water, the water pressure will close the plug. Sometimes it’s best to to remove it to drain.

Loose Stopper
The stopper twists itself closed often and I find myself having to unstop it. I use it for my laundry sink, which I don’t use frequently, so it’s not a problem for me. I wouldn’t recommend for kitchen sink though.

Blocks drain
I've had this for a few weeks, and the knob turns by itself, which blocks the drain. So almost every time I turn on the water I have to turn the knob to let the water drain.

It works well however, the knob stopped working properly for me within the month and I have to fiddle with it a bit to get it to seal the water in. The quality is great. I’ve tried the other version of this product without the knob and seal layer and I prefer it over this version. Go with the simple one instead of this one.

Better than standard metal sink stoppers
I am rebuying this product. It is so much easier to use than the standard sink stopper that you have to exactingly fit in the sink's small metal hole. The knob does not stick up too far. It is easy to lift when needed, and the silicone mesh is easy to turn inside out when it needs to be cleaned. I took off a star as I turned the knob too far (very hard) and the rubber knob broke off.
