Q: If I’m washing dishes does the water stay in with this strainer?

submitted by Kae - 8 years ago

  • A: No, it is a drain strainer only. It does not stop up the drain for filling the sink with water.

    submitted byRon H - 7 years ago

  • A: This one doesn’t, but the do sell one that strains and has a stopper.

Q: Will it stop hair as well?

submitted by J - 27 days ago

  • A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Our Silicone Sink Strainer was not designed to catch hair. For this purpose, we would recommend using our Hair Catch Drain Protector.

Q: Will this item work over a garbage disposal opening. I.E., how deep does it go into sink. If this strainer would just catch smaller scrap items I'd rather go this route.

  • A: Hi! The strainer is quite deep and will sit 4cm/1.6 inches in the drain. Measurement taken from the underside of the lip to the lowest point of the drain basket.

A super reliable, easy-to-clean strainer that keep

I’ve been using the OXO GG Silicone Sink Strainer for a while, and it’s honestly one of those small upgrades that makes your kitchen feel way more dialed in. The silicone rim sits perfectly in the drain without slipping, and it doesn’t scratch the sink like metal strainers do. It catches everything, even the tiny food bits, but still drains fast so water never pools up. Cleaning it is the best part. You can flip it inside out and rinse it in seconds, no nasty buildup. It feels sturdy, flexible, and made to last. If you want something simple that just works with zero hassle, this is it.

Durable and effective!

Have had this strainer for about 4 years and it works so well! Its durable, easy to clean, and prevents food scraps from going into the drain. Its made of silicone so its flexible and easy to pop the food scraps right into the trash.
