Q: Can this be used to smooth out crumb coat on a cake?

A: I think it would be too heavy to do such work on tender cakes and frosting. Perhaps if you had a turn-table for your cake, it would be simpler. Spin the cake slowly and position your scraper.

The blade is dull and I almost cut myself numerous times. even running my finger along the blade doesn’t even give me a paper cut or the sense that I’d get one. I tossed out the packaging so I can’t even return it.

This is a handy gadget to have. I use this in place of a knife to chop some raw boneless chicken. The handle is nice so you do not have to worry about cutting yourself. I am sure it would work on veggies too!
