Bought a yr ago and still love it
No sharp edges and the claws that grab the lid are a must have. Not yet had it gotten messy. Best can opener!

Pass
OXO is getting cheap. Only the main handle has their good reliable grip. The part you use to turn is cheap slippery hollow plastic. Will be returning with disappointment.
