Avoiding sharp edges when removing the lid from an open can is tricky. By cutting below the edge on the side of the can, the OXO Smooth Edge Can Opener leaves no dangerous metal behind. The side-wind knob is easy to turn and has a comfortable nonslip grip. The hardened stainless steel cutting wheel doesn’t come into contact with can contents, while built-in pliers allow for touch-free lid removal. Hand wash recommended.

The umtimate can opener

The best can opener I have ever used. It is zero effort, mess free (literally no need to wash it because the contents of your can don’t not touch the opener). The grabber function is very helpful too. Highly recommend it.

OXO is getting cheap. Only the main handle has their good reliable grip. The part you use to turn is cheap slippery hollow plastic. Will be returning with disappointment.
