A: Hi Mross - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Packable Straw Down Brim Bucket Hat. This hat has "No UPF Rating" which means this could indicate a small brim, a fabric that doesn't adequately block UV rays, or even a mesh crown that doesn't offer complete coverage. Essentially, it's not designed to be a primary source of UV protection. But this is made of 80% Paper and 20% Polyester so the polyester content, particularly if tightly woven and/or treated with UV-blocking technology, contributes to the overall protection against harmful sun rays.
