Manual was very good, but it took 8 solid hours to assemble. I found out the hard way that you need to read the entire step before starting the step as critical hints are given. If followed exactly, it assembles nicely.

Directions were very good; have an issue regarding arrow pointing to clearance of 1/16" on safety stop - called for clarification! Functionality will be determined after transfer of files to this product!!

"Quick and easy assembly" is way off the mark! And directions are difficult to follow at a few steps. Screws for holding the top in place are TOO long and need to be changed. Color is darker than pictured.

Bought the two drawer lateral file in vintage oak. Already owned desk and two bookcases. This unit, I think was a little bit trickier to put together. Still, if you follow the instructions, by reading the entire step including the diagrams you will have a great end product. Drawers wer a bit offset at the end but again I read how to adjust the face of the drawer and it looks perfect. This furniture is solid when done and really looks good all together.

The filing cabinet's weight is pretty heavy yet the manufacturer used plastic parts. We had several pieces damaged. The installation took 6 hours! We probably would have returned the product but once you unpack the item there is no re-boxing all the pieces.

Instruction manual much to be desired. Stops in wrong spot, drawers would not close all the way. Had to make own adjustments. Drawers very difficult to align/adjust to shut properly.

When assembly is finished the piece is very attractive but getting there is less than an easy journey. One assembly operation is missing from the instructions, it has to do with the front bottom, also the file hangers at the end. Assembly takes about 6 hours…..

The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. All the predrilled holes were spot on and made assembly quite easy but took some figuring. One point I would like to make is Step 9. When you fasten pc.O to the underside of pc. E2 it would be beneficial if the 4 screw holes were countersunk. I had the screws fastened tight but they scratched the top of the drawer when I first closed the top drawer. Happy with our cabinet, may order another one someday.
