Palmers Coconut Oil Lip Balm 0.15 Oz

Very sad to see that there is no longer an spf in this lip balm. I used to get cold sores all the time and then found this lip balm. It worked so well that I didnt have a single cold sore in over 10 years. Now I have been getting them again. I wondered what had changed. Then I noticed that the reviews on here about the ingredients change and no longer having an spf. What a disappointment! Such a stupid move by your company to remove spf when the world is finally learning ths need for using it.

I have tried nearly every lip product available to soothe my horribly dry, cracked lips. My lips split, peel, bleed, and hurt with every product I've tried. I did find one lip balm that did help, but it was too expensive for just a tiny tube, and I'd go through it in one week or less. The price was too much for my budget and I had to quit using it. When I tried Palmer's Coconut Oil + Vitamin E Lip Balm, I was on my last product. I was absolutely blown away on the first day I used it! Not only did my lips soak up this lip balm, but the cracks and peeling began to heal!!! I applied it before I went to bed and waited. The following morning, I woke up to perfect lips - the cracks had completely healed; the redness, swelling, and pain were gone; and I was ecstatic. My lips have never, in my over-65 years of age, looked so perfect, felt so hydrated, and felt so soft. I truly think that I could write a book using every positive, superlative word in the English language about this lip balm, and it still couldn't properly depict the excellence of this coconut oil lip balm! It's taken - first by my parents - decades to find this product, this huge miracle in a tiny tube of balm that really works. I am not a person who cries, but when I woke up that fateful first morning after applying it just 8 hours prior to waking up, I began to cry with amazement and joy over a product that actually worked for me for the first time in my life. I know that I'd spent thousands of dollars trying every lip product only to end up very disappointed. Many of the products made my problem even worse. One important discovery made was that brand name or generic, very expensive or budget-friendly, beautifully packaged or simple and plain, made no difference in how well or how bad lip products were. The only other very important trait I uncovered was that my lips reacted badly to any lip balm that contained petrolatum - petroleum jelly. Once I figured out that I was "allergic" to it, I could narrow my search. I'd try each lip balm that had zero petrolatum after my discovery. While the redness, peeling, cracking, bleeding, and pain were gone once I eliminated balms containing it, I still had the problem of severely, extremely, dry lips. My lips still cracked and peeled, albeit to a lesser degree, with every product I'd tried. The redness, swelling, bleeding, and pain were so much less of a problem with balms that didn't contain petrolatum. At last, in mid-2024, I came across this coconut oil + Vitamin E formula. It wasn't exorbitantly price, it had no fancy packaging, and I found it in a little, hometown pharmacy that only carried prescription drugs, medical supplies, and a few OTC drugs and balms. They only carried 2 lip balms, and both were Palmer's. The cocoa butter formula, unfortunately, didn't help. The coconut oil formula was the Godsend I'd been looking for, for my whole life!! Instead of needing to apply it every 30 - 60 minutes throughout the day, I applied it in the morning, after lunch, after dinner, and at bedtime. It moisturized, softened, prevented cracking and bleeding, and the skin on my lips no longer felt tight. I've not used another lip balm since mid-2024. THANK YOU, Palmer's, for this wonderful, simple lip balm that can be tucked away even in a tiny clutch purse or a pocket. It has no petrolatum or any ingredient that exacerbates my lip problems. It is also affordable, and it has a pleasant, sweet taste.

I was wondering what was the difference between the two caps then I read the reviews and looked at the ingredients. The formula change is a real disappointment. The old formula was my favorite lip balm that I bought in bulk. I will never purchase this again.

I recently discovered these jumbo lip products and I will always repurchase these! I'm using the coco and the coconut one, love both! They glide on so smooth, very moisturizing with a light scent. Such a wonderful find! Thanks Palmers!

States no mineral oil but that is what is listed as the first ingredients - seriously fix one or the other, repackage or reformulate

The fourth bullet point in the description says, "Free of Parabens, Phthalates, Mineral Oil, Dyes", but the first ingredient on the back of the packaging is literally "Mineral Oil" -- see photos.

I agree that it's sickly sweet, and the scent is overpowering like the coconut tanning oil from Hawaiian Tropic. Being on your lips, that's not what I wanted. Ideally I like flavorless or just real coco butter and shea. This is a waste of money. And it isn't thick or very hydrating anyway. They sold the coco butter flavor next to this one. I've tried it in the past, I couldn't remember if I liked it, so I tried the coconut. Not good. Too strong and unpleasant to use.

I've been using this product for a few months now and it's the best! I live in a really dry climate, and my lips get cracked easily. This product works great, lasts long, and smells amazing!!!

I will only buy this lip balm! It won’t burn my cracked lips and heals this quickly. I won’t buy anything else. Please sell this in bulk!!!

If i could give zero stars i would!! I Had an allergic reaction to this product my lips were swollen and i broke out in HIVES. I had to go to the ER to get a steroid injection and Benadryl. I will never buy this again.

I have used this product for years (the one with the brown cap that no longer exists) and just ran out of the many items that have stockpiled over the years. Having just received the new formula one, I am completely dissatisfied and will not use it. I understand “same ingredients” and all that but this is NOT the product we have grown to know and love over the years. This is clearly evident by all the overwhelmingly negative reviews. When C*ke changed to New C*ke, myself and everyone else abandoned the product and they switched it back to the product we know today. PLEASE consider the same action for you will lose another customer.

This used to be my favourite lip balm and I used it all the time. It went on smoothly and tasted great. Now they’ve changed the formula, and the texture is no longer like a lip balm, it’s dry and you have to drag it over your lips. I will not be buying again unless they change it back.

Hate the new formula. Really loved the coconut taste. Gutted it’s changed.

I used to use the old Chapstick (with the brown lid) for over 8 years! It was the ONLY thing I used and I would buy dozens at a time. This new formula makes me look like I ate a powdered donut and passed away. The old formula moisturized my lips and gave it a shine. I do not like a waxy feel on my lips and the new formula is a nightmare to put on. I have to do so many applications and it doesn't moisturize anything and leaves me ashy. I can only hope that you change it back to the original.

Used to be the best lip balm ever. They changed the formula and added zinc oxide. Now it looks like a 5 year olds lipstick. It's hard to go on and turns your lips white rather than smooth and moisturising.

Been using the coconut oil lip balm for years, wouldn't buy anything else because I loved it so much. But this new formula is awful! The taste is terrible and no longer smells like coconut. I won't be buying again unless the old formula is brought back! Can't describe how disappointed I am!

I loved the old recipe. The new one is awful, it’s like any other cheap horrid lip balm that doesn’t work and sits on your lips. So disappointed! I have now run out of the old type as I usually have them in my car, bedside table and one for my pocket. Now I’m looking for a replacement as these new ones are awful. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!

Been buying this for years, my favourite lip balm EVER, would order like 12 at a time, my recent order comes & it looks different, no brown lid. Why oh why did u change the formula, it's just not as good, not as moisturising as before, So disappointed, if I can find any stock of the old one, I'll have to buy them, but won't be buying the new formula from now on
