Q: I purchased this item. The strong plastic smell won't go away, and the smell transfers to anything that touches it. Is this normal? How can we remove the smell??

A: Have you tried washing it? Not sure if it'll help, but can't hurt. Hand wash or better yet machine wash with your clothes. I'm also seeing NOBODY from either the company nor Target answered you.

It has lasted for years with no sign of wear.
I bought this mat several years ago and have been very happy with it. It's just the right size for my small-ish tub, I've never slipped once, and it's easy to clean. I'm going to get one in the clear color for changing seasonal decor - but I won't retire the aqua one. It doesn't show any wear whatsoever.

Yikes wow the smell is pungent. I have to close the bathroom door so it does seep through my bedroom. But I like that I no longer slide around in my shower I just don’t think I can handle the smell and have to throw it away. Hate to have to.
