A: Our two month old was given this in the hospital before surgery, so I assume it would be fine for 5 month old.

A: No, we don’t recommend mixing Pedialyte with formula. When Pedialyte and formula are mixed together, the nutrient and mineral content of both can change, along with the osmolality. The mixture can also become clumpy & hard for your baby to drink. - The Pedialyte Team

Bought this for myself after being sick, even though it's advertised as a children's product. It really does help rehydrate me, and I actually prefer the taste of this unflavored version over the sickly sweet flavor of other ones.

My doctor prescribed this when I was sick. When drinking it, it tasted too strong; it didn't even taste salty. Don't get the unflavored electrolyte solution. Just get a flavored one or not at all.

Your body needs sugar when sick
People commenting that this has too much sugar for their precious babies are either trolls or uneducated. That's the whole point. It's not an everyday beverage. It's for when your child is sick and you need to prevent dehydration and hypoglycemia. Your body NEEDS sugar to function.

Has a ton of sugar
I can’t believe how much sugar this has. I assumed the unflavored version did not, it even says on the label, no sweeteners, but the ingredients say dextrose. I do not give my baby any refined sugar and I’m so upset by this deceptive marketing.

Careful for kids
This product is great but I took off two stars because the last two bottles I purchased, I couldn't even open. I don't know if it was a mistake in a small batch or what but the foil covering was so melted into the plastic that I couldn't remove it. I tried using a knife to make a slit to pull it off and it just shredded up and little flakes went into the liquid. I had to pour the whole bottle out to fish out the foil flakes. If this company if going to use foil covers maybe they should have a qualify check to make sure the foils are going to come off easily enough when the tabs are pulled. Any kind of foil inside the drink can be a choking hazard. Just make sure you don't have any foil falling into your drinks..

Add lime/lemon for taste!!
I drink this often because of POTS. I prefer this one to the flavored ones since it doesn’t have added artificial flavors/dyes. The unflavored is a bit hard to drink if you don’t refrigerate it, and even then something about it tastes off. I’ve found it tastes MUCH better if you add fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice. Total game changer for the taste!

Don't like new safety seals
The new safety seals on the outside of the cap and on the top are too difficult to remove. I've cut myself twice now trying to remove them. Please bring back the easy to remove seals

Repulsive
I understand that this product is good for being sick and dehydrated. I'm using it as part of surgery prep. It's endoscopic surgery so it had to be the clear "unflavored" kind. it is so nasty that I feel like puking. I can't believe I have to drink the whole container. and then my instructions say to drink two of these a day after the surgery? The surgery is known to cause nausea. I am now going to have to ask what I can drink other than the is because there's no way. It's making me feel nauseated now, and I haven't even had surgery. gross.

Bring back the foil cutting top
I drink Pedialyte often, especially in the summer. I am a mail carrier for USPS with a 14 mile walking route and get dehydrated often so I stock up on Pedialyte. My only issue is that without the foil cutter top, it’s nearly impossible to open a bottle. I appreciate the protective seal and don’t mind paying for it but now it’s the last thing I want to reach for because I know I’m going to have a difficult time trying to open it. Please bring back the foil cutting lid!
