Reads high, this is a terrible thermometer. It read 101 when other thermometers said 98.

Battery almost dead
I opened it and immediately flashed the battery was half dead. That was the whole reason I purchased a new thermometer because the battery was dead and could not find fitting batteries.

Inaccurate, temps are above other thermometers
Inaccurate temps. Temperatures on this thermometer are ~1 degree above other household thermometers which is unhelpful and produces unnecessary worry.

I wish I could give it ZERO STARS. I tested positive for Covid so I wanted to monitor my temp. I would get such mixed readings. I ended up finding my thermometer that I thought I had lost and compared it with this one. Night and day, I would get differences of 2 degrees!!! I would also take my temp with this one and one minute it would read 100.6 and the next it would be 98. Do not buy!!

Dont Buy
This is not dependable. When using to monitor for transplant patient at home resulted in panic each night as it showed high temperature, then low, the in the middle. Wondering if we would have to go to the hospital. Had to dig up the old glass therm. Don't buy.

Inaccurate, Unreliable Not Worth
Inaccurate and Unreliable as generated readings with too much difference from each other(over 1.5 degrees) within a 5 minutes time frame testing. Very disappointed as for a critical patient temperature monitoring this product is useless. I am very surprised that Target has not discontinued this product given the percentage of negative reviews, and to work with a different manufacturer. Instead, I got a Vicks Rapid Read which works great and its worth the price difference. Not mentioning the stress when it read over a hundred degrees temperature on my old parent when actually there was no fever. Thank you

Hot garbage
Do not buy this. My husband and I both used it and our temperatures are inconsistent. In the span of a minute we could go from 104.3 fever down to 96.5. Not to mention the button doesn’t always work. I thought maybe we had a fluke, but it seems as though the other reviews are consistent with our experience. Go with another brand and don’t waste your money.
