  • A: The thermometer has 3 temperature reading modes. Ear, Forehead and Object/Food mode. To by forehead, press the head button. To scan by ear, remove the forehead prove and press the ear button. To get an object/food reading. press ear and forehead simultaneously - the thermometer will display the word Food, press the ear button to scan the object/food. Readings can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius.

  • A: This thermometer can take temperature by Head or Ear and also has an object/food temperature setting. Press the Head button for a forehead reading, ear for an ear reading and simultaneously press ear and head to get the object/food reading setting. You can also switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.   • A: Hello, and thank you for reaching out. When using a forehead measurement, it is expected to be lower, anywhere from 0.5°F to 1°F lower, as it is an external reading. Furthermore, forehead temperature reduces with age, the older an individual, the lower the forehead temperature is expected to be. Therefore if it is recommended to use these devices as a strong indicator of current temperature, learn your own normal reading so you can identify if a result is outside of your normal temperature.

The third feature that the thermometer can read is food and object temperatures. To read these temperatures, press down on the HEAD and EAR buttons together. Hold the thermometer 1-2 inches away from food or object. Then press and release the EAR button to scan.     Absolute trash with multiple incorrect readings on multiple people. Was showing my wife, my son, and myself as having a fever all with varying degrees above normal. Used a stick thermometer and it showed all of us as having the same consistent, normal temperature.

    I don't think it's user error, no matter if it's inside the ear or on the forehead or inches away for the forehead it cannot read it right. under the tongue is 101.5 but forehead read 97.1, and is hot to the touch? would not recommend unless you want more stress.

    Over 8 degress off! Absurd!

    Wow! I bought this since I misplaced our thermometer. I found it right after I bought this one (always check the nightstand drawers after you’ve been sick!). I decided to test both on my son, who has a slight sniffle and maybe a little warm. Our old one said 96.3, which may be a little low. But this one said 104.7!! Which is absolutely absurd!! How is this even on the market? What in the world!

    Do NOT buy!!

    I wish I had read the reviews before buying. It has inconsistent and inaccurate readings every time. My son has a fever and it read 104 and then 99. I tried again an hour later and the same thing happened - a different reading each time. Awful. Spend the extra money and get the nicer one!!!

    Inaccurate readings (even with fever)

    Ordered this before daughters dr appointment, already knew she had a fever and we would need to monitor it at home. It got delivered while we were at the dr office. I get home take her temp again and it’s 97.2 so I check myself and it reads 97. Completely inaccurate going to return. Don’t waste your money!
