Q: Is it normal for my baby to show 100-104 on her belly/armpit then show normal healthy temp on her forehead/ears, pretty much normal everywhere else I measure?

A: Kimberly our infrared thermometer is calibrated to measure your little one's temp on their forehead only. The thermometer should be placed about 1/2" away from the skin in the middle of the forehead.

A: Yes, but we recommend not measuring the temp as the water is coming out of the faucet. Measure the temp of the water that is in the tub.

Terrible product. Inconsistent readings so much so that even the product knows it - the instructions say to take the forehead temperature 4 times and use the highest reading (rolling my eyes…). What a waste of money.

Terrible product. Inconsistent readings. Then just stopped reading at all and lit up red and said "lo". Replaced the batteries and seemed to work once then when tried again read "lo" tried more new batteries and continues to read "lo". Buyer beware!!! Do not buy!!!!

Inconsistent readings in the same location after several attempts. Used other forehead thermometer and it was consistent and several degrees different. Buyer beware for the price and lack of consistency in this product, your child could be truly sick like ours and it is totally off. Love other Fridababy products but save your time, and money here.

Not sure if I’m doing it wrong but I’ve been trying to use this thermometer with both of my kids but they can be broiling hot with fever measure 100f + on different thermometers, and on this one it will always measure 97 or 98. Not sure why the big difference. Thank

Wanted to love this! It simply doesn’t work and is very overpriced. If you have an infant, just stick to a thermometer that can do a Rectal reading. My baby had 102 fever and this thermometer kept reading 96 degrees.

In ear reading on my 10 month old shows 98.7. Forehead reading fluctuates between 100.8 and 103.5 each test. I’m literally testing one immediately after another and it goes up and down anywhere between 100 and 103..5. What a waste of $. Wish I could give negative stars.Save yourself the trouble and money, get a real thermometer.

My toddler has Covid. So when I absolutely needed this thing to work it reads anywhere from 96 to 101° within 5 minutes, on the exact same spot on her head. Which means that this thing is actually dangerous.

I purchased this to have ready before my son was born. Every time I use it, it’s 5 degrees different than when I confirm with rectal. I had to go buy a rectal thermometer the first time my baby got sick because this said he didn’t have a temperature but I knew he did because he was very warm. This has happened at least 5 times so I had to stop using it because it doesn’t work.
