This thermometer is quick and fast with checking the temp unlike others that we've used. The only complaint I have is having to turn it off and back on to use it. Even though it says you don't have too but it doesn't do it right away for the second check.

Ok here’s the thing, the first reading on this thermometer shows up as 100.4 as a flash pop up. Keep trying it in yourself and baby till you get a calibrated reading. Yes, I was one of those moms and check the temperature of my four day old baby and flashed 100.4 so we rushed to the hospital just to find a normal temperature but since she was newborn you were automatically admitted. The only difference between meat was, I went with my mom, got feeling knowing my baby was not that hot, and I did not allow all the routine test to be done like a spinal tap. No way no way was traumatizing but also we did not allow any of those tests because we knew that we read it as a first reading not double checking the numbers. My daughter is two years old and it is always accurate now it was just that one first reading. New out the box.

Awful. Like the other reviews it has given me panicking (rectal) temperature reads for my newborn. When my baby was two weeks it read her temp was 95.5 and then 96. Went to the ER and she was completely fine. Took her temp again today and it read 98.9, 100.1, 98 again and then 99.9 all within an hour. Had my husband run to grab a different brand and as suspected she had a normal 98.4 rectal temp. If you still want to get this brand I recommend having another on hand just to confirm.

Inaccurate readings. It’s more sensitive meaning most of the time it gives you one degree higher than actual temp. Now that we figured that out, we still use it since it’s featured make it very practical and we like the 10 sec readings. But we know it’s inaccurate.

This thermometer was very accurate and helpful with my sick baby. I think those giving negative reviews don't realize that the doctor and hospital Temps are going to be lower unless they too are doing rectal temp which they don't.

I really love the light and the fact that you can’t push too far. I did struggle to figure out how to switch modes when the baby came home from the hospital and I was sleep deprived. Definitely play around with it before needing to use it. I haven’t had an issue with an inaccurate reading. Mine was purchased in July 2022.

Do NOT buy. Like everyone else, baby had a 100.4 temp with the thermometer and normal at the hospital. Completely traumatized by the tests we needed to do because “she had a fever and was a month old”. So frustrated. Please please don’t buy.

Like everyone else I am getting inaccurate readings. I've had to take my 8-week old into ER twice because it was showing he'd have a fever and when we'd get to Ear it was normal but because of his age we'd have to run tests and get him checked out. His fever "returned" and I almost brought him back to the ER but figured I'd check reviews to see if it could be the thermometer. I got a normal digital thermometer and he's perfectly healthy. 2 invasive hospital visits for nothing.

This is the worst thermometer. It’s nearly impossible to get it to switch from rectal to underarm or oral. I highly recommend a different thermometer!

Repeatedly Read Fever Despite None!

I’d give this zero stars if I could! Like others, it read a fever for my one year old multiple times, used only rectally since I *thought* that would be most accurate. Wrong! We couldn’t figure out why her fever kept coming back and then she’d miraculously have none at the dr (sometimes we thought it was thanks to fever reducing medication). We bought two thinking one was faulty. Nope. Both don’t work. This should be pulled from shelves!!!!

Consistently Too High

I bought this because I loved the versatility and thought it would be perfect. For over a month it’s been saying my daughter had a fever on and off but when we’d go to the pediatrician she couldn’t figure out why and she didn’t have a fever there. Turns out, she had no fever. The thermometer has been consistently inaccurate. We took her temp with multiple thermometers and then with this one and all others except this were normal. I love Frida’s rectal only thermometer but this one is TERRIBLE and should be recalled for inaccuracy. Go to other sites and find some of the reviews and you’ll see so many others experienced the same.

Just got back from the ER with my ten week old. This hunk of garbage read 100.6 and our pediatrician advised we take him in. Luckily we were seen by an NP who declared him “too healthy” and sent us back home after several normal readings on their thermometers.

Like many others.. this thermometer made us take our three week old to the ER. The frida read 100.4. When we got to the hospital his temperature was 98. However due to his age, they required us to stay and be HOSPITALIZED 2 nights while waiting for blood cultures to come back. He had a spinal tap done, IV antibiotics, blood and urine cultures. I'm still traumatized from the experience. I have used it a couple other times and it's incredibly inaccurate. It always tells me that my baby has a fever. I so wish I would have read the reviews before taking him into the ER. Please do not buy!
