It's a simple product that can help determine if your little one has an ear infection. Our little one is teething, but can present as an ear infection. It's nice to use to be in the safe side. If you have ANY suspicion of an ear infection, please bring them to the doctor.

We bought it to measure our baby's temperature. Each read is completely different, goes from 36.9 to 38 , if you read it 4 times it.will give a different value each time. We always have to end up using the rectal one.

True story - I assume one of our children has an ear infection every week. Whether they're tugging at their ears more than usual, running a low-grade fever, or just extra fussy, I always seem to suggest, "we should look in their ears." My husband is a PA and has an otoscope, so technically, we *could* check their ears every week... but you better believe he wasn't looking after my third.... or twentieth.... request. But that doesn't mean I wasn't still worrying! So I am incredibly grateful that Safety 1st sent us a fool-proof otoscope that I can use whenever I want, without having to call our doctor or husband. It has a soft tip that fits comfortably in the ear, and the design helps prevent over-insertion, which is why I would be nervous about using my husband's otoscope. ????????There's a super easy-to-use guide for non-medical people (like myself ????‍♀️) to reference so I know when it may be time to call the doctor or when I don't need to worry. I'm so excited to have this simple tool enter our First Aid Kit as a momma. Little things like this remove a bit of the stress from the winter months when ear infections peak, especially when trying to minimize our doctor appointments and exposure to other people!

This product is great for looking in your little ones ears, it's gentle tip won't harm your child's ear and isn't made out of cold metal like the ones at the doctors office, it comes with a handy reference guide so you can see if it's time to consult a doctor. Perfect for kids but also great for adults too!

My little man is prone to ear infections. Having this otoscope has been such a peace of mind. I can take a look and know if I need to take my little guy into the doctor. So glad we have it so he doesn't have to suffer to long before we seek treatment.

When I recieved this otoscope I was pretty excited to try it out. The packaging looked very cheap and flimsy which was a bit surprising for the Safety 1st brand, but I'm also glad it wasn't any thicker cardboard/plastic as that is wasteful. The otoscope itself also had a very cheap look/feel to it as well. If I was basing my purchase on looks, this would not be it! I tried it out on my kids right away, and even when pulling their ear in the proper direction, all I could see was the outer ear canal and wax. Oddly enough about a week later my 11 month old daughter started pulling on her ear. So I figured this would be the perfect time to try again. I tried again on her and my 5 year old son, with the same result. I can see a black "cave" where the ear drum would be, but the light shines on the outer area, not down in. Maybe it's too large to fit properly deep enough inside? Not sure, but unless the redness came all the way out, I wouldn't be able tell if there was any kind of issue. I was curious about the pricing so I googled and see that it is about a 25$ price range. I am shocked! If I had purchased this for anything more than a dollar or two, I would have returned it.

I wish I had this with my first child. Because reading his temperature with a regular thermometer was so hard to keep her still . But with my second child I had a faster temperature . Unfortunately he got a fever bc of teething the week after I got this thermometer but I was glad I had it to make that horrible day much easier to keep track of his temperature

My 1 year old is a total wiggle worm so trying to take her temperature in her underarm was always a struggle, I wish I had received this sooner! The ease and quickness of use is great! I actually just used this on myself and was impressed it lights up red when you have a fever! Only problem is, I can't figure out how to change from c to F!

Great product and easy to use. It is a little off from and oral temp. It's hard to turn off too.

It was very hard to maneuver into the ear. The cover didn't make sense since it didn't really cover to bottom so I feel dust might get into the otoscope.

This ear otoscope is a great addition to your home healthcare kit. It allows you to take a closer look as to what's happening in the ear canal. By having this it can save you a trip to the doctors and remind you when it's time to do a wax clean out.

This product makes it very easy to keep up with my son's ear health in between doctor visits. And the best part is, it didn't irritate his ears one bit! The ear infection reference guide is so easy to follow and guides me on whether or not to schedule an appointment with his doctor.

After going through multiple thermometers with three kids this by far is my favorite one! I love that it's touchless and reads within a second. None of my kids have liked thermometers and are always squirmy. Also the night mode is amazing for getting their temp while sleeping and it's so easy to use!

I'm a mom of a two-year-old and six-month-old twins. This thermometer is a LIFESAVER. The one-second read time is super helpful and necessary, especially with our toddler who is *always* on the move. I know as our three children get older, this thermometer will be so necessary. I also love that it has a silent mode and that it can be used to check the temp of food or drinks!

We LOVE the Safety 1st Ear Otoscope. As a mom of 3 young kids who have experienced many ear infections- it is so nice having an easy to use tool at home! My husband is a pediatrician, and he loves that he can take a quick look at home before having to take the boys into the office! Highly recommend for every new and season family's medicine supply cabinet!
