  • A: Hi there Chris! To adjust between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), make sure the device is in the off position. Then, press and hold the “mode” button for 6 seconds until it enters temperature change mode. Press the “mode” button again to toggle between the two units.   • A: The “HI” indicator signals a body temperature higher than 43.0°C (109.4°F) on both ear and forehead measurements. To remedy this try the following: • Check for obstructions or dampness prior in the area the temperature is being taken. • Check the operation environment. Environment changes will greatly influence the measurement. • If you are changing environments then the temperature change between the two might be too drastic. Let the thermometer rest in the new environment for at least 10 minutes to find the new balance. Then take temperature reading as normal.

  • A: Hi Darc73290, to mute the beeping sound press the "start" button to turn on the thermometer. Then press and hold the "mode" button on the thermometer for 6 seconds. The screen will show OFF with the muted icon. To turn the sound back on simple repeat the last action until the screen reads ON.

    I wish I had tested within enough time to return it. Even after reading the instructions and keeping it at the same distance from the forehead, every result is different. It gave me 99.5, 98.0, 98.9, then 97. Useless.

    Conplete junk

    Do not buy highly in accurate saying my temp was 95 after following the directions and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes. Tried it on my sick daughter who at the dr was 101. Showed her 97.3. Returning this asap

    Forehead: If this is your first time using the thermometer it is best to wait 10-15 minutes to let it adjust to room temperature. Before taking a temperature make sure the forehead is clean, dry, and free of any hair, dust, or first as this may lead to an inaccurate measurement. Press the “start” button to turn the thermometer on. Place the thermometer against the forehead and press the “start” button to take the temperature. The thermometer will beep (if the sound is on) when it is finished. The thermometer will end the session with a temperature reading of the room. Ear: You can also take your temperature using the ear probe. This method is preferred for adults as it’ll have a more accurate and consistent reading. Take off the conversation cover, the thermometer will then enter ear mode. Slightly angle the thermometer and then carefully insert the probe into the ear canal. Do no force the probe in as this could cause damage to the ear canal. Press the “start” button to turn the thermometer on. It will then display the measured temperature on the screen. The ear probe should be cleaned after each usage. Follow cleaning instructions. The thermometer will end the session with a temperature reading of the room.

    Guessing would be more accurate. And was.

    More e-waste pushed out as a health item to make a quick buck. This could legitimately put someone in danger due to how random and low it reads. It worked once, then started giving random readings. Today I know I have a fever, and forehead readings are 98.4 - 99.7 while ear readings are all in the 97 range. This could put a child or vulnerable adult in the hospital if someone were to trust the readings.

    Unreliable

    This thermometer is extremely in accurate. It will give three different readings within 30 seconds, and not small differences, like at least four degrees. It also said my daughter had a 97degree temp while she bit to the touch and sweating. Very unreliable.

    Doesn’t work. Doesn’t give accurate readings at all. Tells our normal temperature is 91. Sometime jumps to 110. So really you have no idea what your temperature actually is. Can take a reading one minute apart and get completely different results.

    Useless and waste of money

    This is a useless thermometer. It only ever reads 97.7, unless you have an actual fever, then it says 98.6. I’ve tried troubleshooting and using both the forehead and in-ear pieces, I’ve tried it on numerous family members to the same result. Waste of money.

    Inaccurate and unreliable

    The temperature readings were inaccurate. The temperature on the forehead ranged from 97.5 to 103.3 degrees, and the ear reading wasn't accurate either. As a result, we went to the urgent care clinic for nothing.

    I’m sorry to hear you had trouble using the thermometer. I know how frustrating that can be. Please rest assured that when the device starts up, it briefly shows a half-battery icon as part of its routine check. This doesn’t reflect the actual battery level and doesn’t mean the battery is low or running out.
