This thermometer takes a long time to get a reading. It also beeps once when it turns on and and several times when it is finished reading. It’s so loud it could wake your partner up. And it takes so long to get a reading you could fall back asleep waiting. Ha!

Piece of junk. It loads the temperature in increments of 0.1 which takes MINUTES to get a reading and then once it finally reads the temp, it’s completely inaccurate. Should not be allowed on the market. Bought for infant. Dangerous.

Battery rattling and power issues fixable

I encountered the same issue as many other reviewers. The new thermometer said the battery was low, it powered on and off, there was rattling, etc. I opened the battery compartment to find there was a small gap (from the little plastic pull tab you remove before use) between the battery and the metal that holds it. Very light pressure on the metal toward the battery eliminated the gap. This solved the rattling and low battery issue and now the thermometer works great. I also like that this thermometer has a screw that protects the battery compartment, as I worry about button cell batteries around small kids.

Same issue as others - bad right out of the box. Flashes green then stays red and says “HI” with a series of beeps. Of course the info pamphlet inside gives zero indication as to what this means. What a waste.

Takes 5 minutes to complete a reading and the screen doesn’t stay lit up at all to even know if it is reading a temperature. Honestly have not been happy with this devise from the start.

Bought this for temping/tracking ovulation. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and thought my readings were awfully low (95-96°). Started comparing with 2 other thermometers and this one is consistently 2° off of the readings I get with others. Disappointing when precise temp is so important in this context.

It died after four days of using it to chart for fertility (10 times taking temperature at the most). I’d rather get a new thermometer than potentially waste another battery.

Just bought and unboxed the thermometer. Inside the mouth or not, it just comes back as Hi after 30 seconds or so and beeps 6 times, offering no numerical temperature. Read and followed instructions and could not troubleshoot. Also doesn't change to Celsius as it should. Took off battery case - no pull tags to remove. Battery might be low/basically dead without a single use. Should come with new battery or say not included. Sick folks don't always have the energy for a second trip to the store, or these round batteries laying around at home. Disappointing.
