A: Dear User, It will work for infant if and adult operates and keeps the proper pressure and stability of the infant's fingertip on the sensor to read out the Pulse rate as the sensor is designed sensitive to maintain the same pressure during the pulse reading mode.

A: To change the UltraPulse setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius, when viewing a temperature, you press the SCAN and TALK button together. Each time you press these two buttons together, the unit will cycle between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes.

The device can produce inaccurate readings for several reasons like the environment or the method in which you are taking the reading. If taking a forehead measurement, gently place the device in the center of the forehead touching the skin right between the meeting of your eyebrows then press the HEAD button. If you are taking an ear reading remove the forehead probe expressing the ear probe and gently place it in the ear canal then press the EAR button for the reading. If the device is still reading inaccurately we recommend recalibrating the device. To do so, remove the batteries from the device and store the device in a room-temperature environment for at least an hour. Ensure that the device is away from direct sunlight or any A/C vents. Replace the batteries in the device, the device should beep auto-resetting and be ready for the intended use. Innacurate temperature

I have been sick with a fever for the past couple of days, having hot flashes and chills, sweating when I'm in bed with a sheet over me, etc. The entire time I've been using this, and it has steadily said I'm anywhere between 97-99 degrees. I just used an oral thermometer which said I'm 102 degrees, and that seems more accurate considering I feel like death, then compared it to my temperature on this, and it still said I was 98 degrees. I do feel like a lot of these forehead thermometers aren't very accurate, as I went to the doctor today and they used one which also said I was 97 degrees, so am going to steer clear of them from now on. I haven't tried the pulse detector or the other features it has, so can't say much about that, but it does seem like it has a pretty accurate reading of room temperature, just not body temperature.

Reads normal temperature for both ear and head when my daughter has a fever (confirmed with regular thermometer). Do not recommend- waste of money.

Recalibrating the device resets the device and in most cases, the device begins to operate as designed. To do so, remove the batteries from the device and store the device in a room-temperature environment for at least an hour. Ensure that it is not in direct sunlight or A/C vents. After an hour or so replace the batteries back into the device. The device should auto-reset and be ready for the intended use. Piece of junk. Does not read the right temperature. Ear reading keeps so low as like 93 degrees completely inaccurate. I don’t trust the over the head reading either

It’s not accurate! Bought it for my kiddos and it keeps reading 98.6 and below for my daughter who I know is burning up with fever! For the price it should be accurate but it’s not! Not worth the buy!

Hello and thank you for reaching out. Perform the following steps to reset your thermometer: 1. Remove the batteries from your thermometer 2. Store thermometer at room temperature (72-78F), avoiding placing thermometer in direct sunlight or in front of AC vents for at least 1 hour 3. Re-insert batteries 4. Power thermometer on - your thermometer should briefly display the room temperature and be ready for the intended use. Please note: When recording a temperature, the thermometer must be placed on the forehead or inside of the ear before pressing the button to take the temperature is selected. If you press the button first, the thermometer will begin to read the temperature of the air that it is exposed to, interfering with the head or ear temperature; resulting in an inaccurate reading. Before attempting to use your thermometer again, make sure the sensor has been thoroughly cleaned. Gently clean BOTH the forehead and ear probe individually with an alcohol swab – making sure that there is absolutely no buildup of dirt on either probe. Any build-up of dirt will give a false reading. Your thermometer should be able to be used as intended.

I finally had a chance to use this over the last week with all my little ones get sick one after the other. It's so easy to use and I love all the features. The flash light came in real handy while sneaking into the baby's room to check her out. I love that it has different options for taking temperature depending on what works for each person!!

There are so many different buttons and it's hard to figure out each one. It is pretty accurate on the readings, and I like that you can take a forehead or ear temp and get your pulse/heartrate.

It can take your temperature either by ear or forehead super fast. To take temperature via ear you have to remove the forehead piece. There is a button on the side to use in ear. For the forehead thr button is on the top front. This thermometer talks telling you the time and temperature. It also holds a few readings in memory. Whats really interesting is the addition of the finger pulse scanner. This piece is also shaped nicely for holding and using it one handed. The screen is bright and easy to read. I suggest reading the instructions before using to set the time and date.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a new thermometer to use for my kids (age 5 and 8) when I came across this infrared thermometer, the dualscan ultra pulse. I was looking for something accurate, quick, and not oral. I know oral temperatures are more accurate than the forehead ones, but my kids just don’t sit still and don’t put them under their tongues to use correctly anyway. I love that I can use this one on their ears or forehead, and that it has an instant reading. Not only that, but it reads the result for you so that you don’t have to take your eyes off your child. One thing that I love more than any of those features though, is the pulse rate monitor. I didn’t think I would use it, but it comes in handy to keep an eye on if they are heading towards getting dehydrated or not (if their pulse is too fast). The other feature I used more than I thought I would was the flashlight on it. I personally thought, why on earth would I need a flashlight on a thermometer, until said 5 year old said he thought something was stuck up his nose. I grabbed the thermometer that was laying on the counter and yup, sure was. A simple plug of the other nostril and blow and we were good and avoided going to the doctor. I love that it turns it self off, because I would never remember to do that. Oh, are you worried that your baby’s room is too cool? Well when it isn’t measuring your kid’s temperature, it actively measure the room temperature. So many features that I wasn’t expecting, and they are brilliant!

Not to win the fact that it talks to you in three different languages if you want it and lights up! Oh and don’t forget the fact that it has a small flashlight so when you’re fumbling around for meds all you need to do is used thermometer! Talk about a multi tool is great on my kid is sick! It gets you fast an accurate readings and get her the medicine she needs quickly! This is going to be my go to baby shower gift from now on!

The results are displayed on a very easy to read Digital display and you can even have the results read to you with an easy to understand electronic voice. The device comes package with batteries already included inside the device. Without reading the instructions it's a bit of a challenge learning how to use the device But once you navigate the included instruction and information sheet and find the instructions for temperature reading and pulse, you'll see that it's pretty easy to use. This is the best digital thermometer I have ever used or seen. It even has a flashlight!

I've never had this on a thermometer before and it is a nice tool to be able to check pulse while your child is sick. The two options of head and ear are very simple to use with just the click of a button. It reads incredibly quickly which is so important when you have young children in particular.

However for some reason the ear method requires to be pressed in the ear a lot or something. I tried it and it works but when I tried on our toddler it said error. I pushed it in the same amount as our older thermometer and don't want to push too hard. But for some reason this one is hit or miss when testing from the ear. When it works out seems to be accurate and I like that it's fast and can be used as soon as we turn it on.
