Q: Why is there a minimum weight? I want to get my 16 pound dog the longer leash, but it says they have to be 19 pounds. Why?
A: Correct, there is no minimum weight for any of the Flexi leashes.
submitted byHank - 5 years agoA: I'm not sure there is a real reason for the minimum weight. I bought this leash for my 6 pound TeddyPoo. She loves to run and play on our walks, chasing squirrels, etc. so I bought it with the length in mind since the ones for her weight range were not as long. I've had no problems with the leash. Like most retractable leashes, it gave out after many, many uses (5 walks a day for 6 months). I'm planning on purchasing another one.
submitted byMarsha - 5 years agoA: I believe the weight is just a guideline so you can get the proper leash for your size dog. You don't want ito buy a small for a 100 lb dog but you can most certainly get a medium or large for a small dog. I buy bigger so my dog can have more freedom but I still have control.
