A: Thank you so much for asking. Once your cat exits the litter box the timer will start and automatically rake at the end of the timer.

Only issue is my bathroom doesn’t have a plug in for it so I am trying to solve that problem. Found the replacement order trays easy enough, a little pricey but worth it not to scoop a traditional box.

Pros: no daily scooping, good odor control, cats took to it well; I was nervous the automatic scooping would scare them, but if anything they’re entertained by it! Cons: you have to plug it in - I keep my boxes in a basement room without plugs, so I had to grab an extension cord. The litter is a lot more expensive than my typical litter. It’s a bit small, definitely not for larger breeds like Maine coons, rag dolls etc. I feel this is a good option for a small, single cat household if you don’t mind plugging it in! Sorry for the photo of the box only - I didn’t think anyone would want to see a used litter box!

I purchased this product because I found myself cleaning our two litter boxes multiple times a day. We have two adult cats and one is very finicky. If her box was “unattended” for even a few hours, she might leave an out-of-box “protest”. It made me crazy that we couldn’t go away for even an overnight without having issues. I also didn’t want to spend a fortune on something that might be a big fail. So, I chose to give this option a try and so far, so good. Both cats had to get used to the new litter and automation, but did adapt easily. I do find that I still lift the lid and pull out the dried “bits” just to better contain odors, and I purchased a stainless steel bottom so I don’t have to throw away a new Bos every ten days. That seems to work great for us. I did have one time the lid would not raise, but just moved litter away from underneath it and the grates functioned properly from then on.
Great concept. Wish it lasted longer!

I only use this when I’m away because it hardly lasts a week!! I have one older cat (Reilly!), 12 lbs, with normal litter box activity. There is definitely not enough room in the waste bin (a sliver really), and the crystals don’t absorb well…gets all wet and stinky after a week!! Too pricey to replace weekly otherwise I would.

The automatic part of it is very convenient and kept odor under control, but i don’t know if the cons are worth it to me. It’s a little loud (I keep it in my bedroom) and I don’t love that you have to buy new replacements for the tray. I would prefer that part to be sturdier and reusable. If you’re looking for an inexpensive automatic box, this could be a good option though.

It's easy to dispose of the tray and you can purchase more online! It's not loud, and fits in almost any space!! I highly recommend it.

There are, however, a few caveats to using this particular litter box. Number one: it is a ‘plug in required’ item, not battery operated, so it can be challenging to find a place to plug it in, especially in a bathroom. Number two: my cat’s solid waste has gotten stuck in the little metal cleaning bar, which I have to remove (the waste) so it operates smoothly. And, number three: the price of the special blue crystal litter is expensive, depending on how often it needs to be replaced. Despite these issues, I still like it and it does help me out a lot! I do recommend this item, but am hopeful they’ll come out with a battery operated one someday to add to the convenience. I received this incentivized product in exchange for my honest review.

Before I got this product, I was scooping the cat litter everyday which causes my back to be hurting. With this cat litter box, I only have to clean up the litter once a week. And plus no more scooping. It is also very quiet and not too big like some other automatic litter box out there. Overall, highly recommended to everyone!

It has a detection system to not do it when the cat is in the box as well. It took a day or so for the cats to get used to it but now it is their favorite litter box.

It does make some noise as it scoops which does startle the cats. They have been using the other box for #2 so far, not sure why. Hopefully, they get more used to this one over time. It is wonderful that it auto-scoops and is something I don't need to worry about. The litter emplacement are a bit pricey, but it is nice not scoop. So far no odor lingers and It takes up about the same amount of space. Just have to find a spot next to a plug if need be.

The waste disposal is subpar best I got very excited because it was an electronic unit and the bottom of it is just a cardboard that you might need to keep replacing. I don’t mind replacing bags or anything like that, but when you have a big cat and if it peas that much it’s going right through the cardboard.

I absolutely love not having to worry about scooping and adding litter everyday. The litter adds the benefit of deodorizing as well as clumping the waste. The litter box has sensors which makes it so helpful for it to know when it needs to collect the waste. The noise level I can’t even hear, I just switch out the litter trays in about a week since I have 2 cats. My cats have had no issue using the litter box. I also appreciate since the litter is a specialized formula it doesn’t track throughout the floor. Also, my cats were very amused by the box it came in.

One of my cats is scared of everything, so he does not trust that this makes sounds, which are quieter than I had expected. With multiple cats, we do need to empty waste container every day.

For your kitty who is still unsure, we would recommend unplugging the box for some time and manually scooping it to allow him the opportunity to adjust to the box without it making any sounds. Once they are comfortable, most cats will accept the rake moving when it is plugged back in. It is important to mention that these boxes are designed so that when plugged in you do not need to empty the waste container manually but can dispose of the entire tray when the waste area is full.
