Q: Is it normal for it to cause heavy bleeding? If not, should I be worried?

submitted by josie west - 8 months ago
  • A: Hello Josie, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding our product. Everyone is different and will have a different outcome while using the product. A small percentage of women experience spotting and/or bleeding when using boric acid suppositories. It is safe to continue use if it is slight, and you are comfortable doing so. This may occur if the vaginal suppository was not inserted far enough into the vagina or if you have any irritated or open skin within the vagina. However, discontinue use if it worsens and becomes more pronounced. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Thank you and have a good day.

These are good but try the vit E ones....

These are very effective but the vitamin E and coconut version of this suppository is top tier and superior to this bc it’s not drying and just as effective!

Easy to use and quick acting

My OBGYN recommended this brand and it hasn’t disappointed. Easy to insert, without using the plastic applicators. Put them in overnight and you’re good in the morning.

Drying but effective

I’ve been running and sweating a lot more and haven’t been as diligent with changing clothes immediately after working out and this led to me getting BV. The first time it happened, I was prescribed antibiotics. It worked but caused a yeast infection so then I had to treat for that. The second time I got BV, I skipped the antibiotics and just used boric acid for 3 days and they did not cause a yeast infection. BV was gone. The suppositories are drying but if you just wait a day or two, that will go away. I did find the suppositories difficult to insert so you may want to use a little bit of lubricant. If you find the dryness to be too much, they do have a hydrating version. You can also use these before onset of symptoms so if you know you are not able to change clothes quickly after a workout, you can take boric acid that night and prevent BV.

Fresh & Clean Inside & Out

I find this product to be gentle and effective. It doesn't irritate when inserted. As the pkg. info suggests, using the "phD" at bedtime with a panty liner ensures that the bad bacteria is eliminated in a more comfortable way for me. My morning shower afterwards, gives the fresh and clean inside and out confidence to handle my business without any foul orders to upset me or offend others.

Works like magic

I have been struggling with fishy odor due to BV. I followed the instructions and showered then pushed capsule as high as I could as I lay down for bed and in just one day, the smell is gone! I smell like nothing again. I will follow the directions but I had very minimal discharge next day and no slimy feeling.
