Regarding your question about the Philips 6-Outlet Surge Protector with 4' Cord - Black: This should have an area for mounting, but I like to use adhesive velcro strips for that myself so you can easily remove and replace when you need to make adjustments to what's plugged in. I got it in black which has a nice clean sleek look and came with a 4ft long cord to reach most places you need it too. I love that it’s very well made so it will last you a long time. I also like that it has a flat plug that saves space and can plug easily behind desk, dressers, etc. It comes with a lifetime no hassle warranty that is always a plus. I definitely recommend this surge protector.

I especially like the "flat" plug that angles the cord straight down from the wall outlet -- that works really well behind a desk or in other places where space is tight. The only consideration is that one needs to use the bottom plug of the wall receptacle (if you plugged it into the top one it would block the bottom one). The on/off switch is on the side edge of the strip instead of a traditional rocker on the same face as the outlets, but this doesn't have a significant impact on the operation of the product. Overall it seems to be well constructed and it gets the job done.

The four foot cord was long enough for our needs. It is working well and we like the sleek black finish. You never know when an outage can occur and the 750 joule rating is good for small electronic items. Good value.

I like how the main plug is flat, I could plug it in behind the nearby furniture and not having the gap in between the wall and the furniture. The 4 foot cord is handy, I am able to place it almost completely out of sight and have some cord length to spare.
