Took forever to start to extrude then stopped after about one minute. Machine wouldn't extrude any pasta and just spin

The product has potential.
Upon using the Viva pasta maker for the first time, I was disappointed that so much leftover dough remained in the chamber, squeeze tube and on the disc and squeeze bar, even after the extra extrusion. I hope someone will contact me to help resolve the issue.

Great little machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine makes pasta in a breeze. I set it up and prepare the pasta while I wait for the water to boil, this is how easy and fast it is! It is the perfect size for a family of 3-4, otherwise you have to make two batches. It is easy to clean and most parts are dishwasher safe. I wish there were more shapes of pasta or even the cookie shapes like the bigger model.

Great performance/Great value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pasta maker is very easy to use...straight out of the box (after washing of course). There is virtually no assembly, the instructions are very easy to follow, the construction is solid and it's convenient to add pasta dies in addition to those that come with the machine. Things I like: machine is solidly built, components come apart easily, there is a great storage drawer in the machine for extra dies (except I could use it to hold more), capacity is accurate per the machine specs. The only reason I didn't give this 5 out of 5 stars is cleaning the dies can be time consuming (which would be the case with any machine I'm sure). The value for the cost is definitely a win! Additionally, customer support was FANTASTIC! I broke a part the second time I used the machine (my fault completely) and they replaced it no questions asked. I got the new part in 3-5 days as they promised and I was back in the pasta making business! I would highly recommend this machine!

Fresh pasta and simple to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pasta maker for smaller portions (1-4 people). Can also be used to make larger batches but you have to clean out the unit when you start a new batch. The dough dries up in the chamber. After a couple of tries, I have perfected the egg pasta. So easy to do. Having fun trying out new recipes. After eating the fresh pasta from this maker, it’s very hard to go back to packaged pasta. Washes up beautifully in the dishwasher!

If the pasta sticks together, then the ratio of the flour and water is incorrect, and too much water has been poured in the mixing chamber. We suggest measuring flour and water with the provided flour and water cup and according to the "flour/ water ratio table". To store pasta, we recommend sprinkling flour on the noodles and then storing them wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So easy! Dump in ingredients and you have pasta in about 5 min or less. Easy to take apart and clean. The pasta discs are the most difficult to clean, but they send tools to punch out the dough, so no big deal. The larger pasta shapes tend to be a little ragged around the edges at times. Also, pasta is much more dense and toothsome than store bought pasta. May just have to fiddle with recipes more. Although I've tried several different flours and with eggs/ without, etc etc. I like the angel hair the best. Sometimes you think the pasta won't come out.. just wait a few minutes. Sometimes once the attachments warm up, the flour mixture comes together and it extrudes fine. I made the mistake of throwing the batch instead of being patient. All in all I am very happy with the machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t find the dough mixed through completely and didn’t mix the contents towards the back of the basket. I is good for small batches and this does not accommodate for more than 2 eggs. Also the dough was clumping when utilizing the angel hair attachment. I would recommend a larger storage drawer for additional disc.

It could be that the mixing paddle is running idle, and that is why the dough is not mixed through completely. In this case, it might be that the ratio of the flour and water is incorrect. Please disconnect the plug from the power source and discard dough. Clean the pasta maker, measure ingredients correctly (use a kitchen scale to measure the flour weight more accurately), and follow the user manual again to restart the pasta making. Easy to use, works well, simple clean-up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my machine for 1 month and have made 4 pounds of pasta - semolina pasta with an egg, and just plain flour pasta using the spaghetti or penne disks. I found I had better success using the measuring cup for flour rather than weighing it. I find the markings on the measuring cup nearly impossible to read as they are not marked with any color. They are just ridges of the same color plastic. The machine is easy to use and following the pictorial directions was straight forward. Clean-up of the machine was quick. At first I found it hard to clear the holes of the spaghetti disk but then found I could pop the center out for easier clean-up. I did purchase the additional Viva disks but do wish there were more fun shapes available. This machine only comes with the basics and the expansion pack does not have disks like shells, bow ties, wagon wheels. Overall this is a nice machine but the larger machine may have given me the extra that I was looking for however I must add that I was looking for a compact machine and this fit the bill. I give this machine four stars because it does what it is supposed to but the difficulty reading the measuring cup knocks it down one notch.

Making noodles is really easy
