While many appreciate the thorough cleaning and comfort they provide, some have expressed concerns about the size and density of the bristles compared to previous models. Guests have noted improvements in oral hygiene and plaque reduction, making these heads a popular choice for those seeking effective dental care. However, issues with fit and comfort have led some to reconsider their loyalty to the brand.

the toothbrush itself is good heads not anymore
The original C3 Premium Plaque Control replacement heads were outstanding. They felt full, dense, and left my teeth feeling exceptionally clean after every brush. It was one of the main reasons I stayed loyal to the brand. Unfortunately, the newer C3 replacement heads don’t feel like the same product. The brush head seems smaller, the bristles feel less dense, and the overall cleaning experience isn’t nearly as thorough as it used to be thinking of switching now.

Does NOT fit / bumper is weird
C3 toothbrush heads do NOT fit the Sonicare handle even though they are supposed to fit. The rubber bumper is weird and makes brushing awkward. I have a small mouth so the bumper actually makes the toothbrush head uncomfortable. Very unhappy with these expensive toothbrush heads since they don’t fit the handle and are uncomfortable. The C3 heads actually fall off the handle! July 2026

My new favorite
First time to try the plaque control head and I'm loving it! My teeth have never felt cleaner. The first day after using it for the first time, my gums were a little sore, but I haven't had that happen again while using it for two weeks since. I fear the smaller heads that I used to use were not doing a good job of cleaning my teeth.

Wrong item AGAIN
This is NOT a rating for the item, but for Target order in store. They do not have any other place to complain. They ALWAYS seem to either forget an item completely or give me the wrong item. I specifically ordered this two pack in BLACK and received white. And it sucks that I can only choose to bring the item all the way back or get charged for the replacement in the online options instead of just writing you messed up AGAIN. I already opened it and realized it was the wrong color but more importantly wanted Target to know they made the error!

I do like the toothbrush however the brush head comes off while brushing my teeth. I have had multiple of these toothbrushes in the past and never experienced such situation just purchased this and my satisfaction is far from fully satisfied.

Too rough, not gentle enough
I have been using my sonicare toothbrush for years with the standard heads, and decided to try these ones. I always brush my teeth on "sensitive," but I am noticing significant irritation on my gum line since switching to this brush head. I'm going to throw it out and go back to the basics.

Disappointed
Just got this and it keeps falling off my toothbrush. It's like it won't click on and will fall off while I'm brushing my teeth. It's ridiculous. I haven't had this problem in the past with replacement heads, so I don't know if I just got a lemon or if they changed something with the design, but it's a bummer.

They’re worth the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I'm guilty of buying non-brand replacement brushes. I got a birthday discount and treated myself to these brush heads and the real thing really is better. They seem sturdier and the bristles are of a higher quality. I feel that the clean with the Phillips brush heads is better than with the off market brands.
