The first step is almost like a gritty scrub, and is followed by an activator. I experienced a slight heat or tingle, since my skin is a little sensitive. After 2-3 minutes I rinsed the peel off gently. The whole process was simple and I noticed right away that the surface felt smoother. I used this product once a week at first to make sure my skin handled it well, and then bumped it up to two. Very satisfied with this gently peel kit. Clear instructions for use, please read them carefully and follow them! I also made sure to test patch on my arm 24 hours before first use just in case.

This one smells like citrus and is easy to use! I don’t get much of the warming sensation described on the packaging but it does help with the sebaceous filaments! I didn’t have any irritation, I do use retinol as well I just skipped it the day I used this.

Step 1 is a physical exfoliant. The cap on my step two bottle would not close - it’s showing in my picture. You can find products that do the same thing, that don’t require two steps.

The physical scrub is gentle yet effective-no rough particles that will scratch your skin. The activator gel is the real powerhouse. It contains multiple highly effective chemical exfoliants. The combination is a quick five minute facial that make my skin SO soft and smooth. I really believe that it helped fade some summer sun spots, too.

It also doesn’t do anything it says it will on the package (crystallize, foam). The first time I thought I did it wrong so I tried again and nothing changed. It smells good, but I’m underwhelmed.

I know that seems like a random place to begin, but the main reason I don’t use peels and masks as often as I should is because most require a 10-20+ minute commitment. This one has you in and out in less than 5! The scrub has a very light orange peel scent, as if you’ve been holding an orange in your hands. If you’re someone who has issues with scents, I don’t think you’ll have trouble with this one as the note is more of an essence of orange than a heavy fragrance. After massaging this onto your face for one (yes, 1!) minute, you then add the serum activator directly on top of the crystal scrub, and it creates a warm sensation. It doesn’t burn and only needs to sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. After using this, even the first time, my skin felt tight and smooth. I couldn’t believe how hydrated it stayed for hours after using. This will definitely be added to my regular skincare routine. The package recommends using it twice a week, which is very doable.

Massage on the vitamin c and resurfacing crystals, then add the lactic and salicylic acid activating gel. This creates a foam.I got a slightly warm sensation for a few seconds. Wait 2 to 3 minutes and then rinse. I seen tighter pores on the 1st use. It's recommended to use twice a week.

I’ve used philosophy body wash before so I was pretty excited to try something different from them and this didn’t disappoint. This product had a light citrusy scent which was refreshing and invigorating on the face. The whole exfoliating process felt gentle on my face yet after I wash off everything my face glowed like never before. I’ve never had results like this with ax exfoliating/peel product that gave me instant results. I will actually incorporate this product into my skincare routine.

You dry off your clean face, apply the crystals in a circular motion for 60 seconds, the top it with the serum which makes the crystals foam up. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse off before continuing your facial routine. It really does a great job smoothing the skin and clearing you up. The only thing that bothered me is it tells you to put the crystals on in a circular motion but don’t scrub - but moving them around scrubs your face anyway. Regardless, my skin feels super smooth after applying and it lasts a couple of days!

The directions say it will foam, but it did not for me. The packaging is great and descriptive with directions and potential benefits of the product. I’ve used it a couple weeks and I feel like my skin is less congested. It looks pretty clear once it’s applied. I also have fairly sensitive skin and had no adverse reactions.
