Description
One of skincare's true agents of change, Vitamin C delivers the kind of complexion-enhancing results that most actives only aspire to. TruSkin's best-selling serum intentionally pairs this respected antioxidant with three of skin's best buds—Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, and MSM. Packed with a purposeful blend of these skin-friendly botanicals, our silky, lightweight formula specializes in restoration, hydration, and preservation to encourage brighter, firmer, healthy-looking skin.
Vitamin C is famous for its ability to diminish fine lines, and negative effects from the sun like uneven tone and hyperpigmentation. This alone makes it an ideal match for improving dullness, breakouts, dark spots, or signs of aging, but when allso backed by nourishing vitamin E, it maximizes results in outmaneuvering free radicals. And when Vitamins C and E join forces with Hyaluronic Acid and MSM, they're known to encourage collagen production and boost radiance for truly nourished and healthy-feeling skin.
TruSkin's purposeful, plant-powered blends not only give skin the nutrients it needs to enhance its own firmness, barrier function, suppleness, and luminosity, all things skin needs to be and stay healthy, but also prioritize skin friendly formulations of well-known ingredients, like the more gentle but as effective form of Vitamin C called Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, to ensure that all skin types can enjoy these benefits without irritation.

Q: Can I use this serum alone (without moisturizer) at night
A: Hi MK, Thank you for reaching out with your question about our Vitamin C Serum. We appreciate your interest in incorporating our product into your skincare routine. Using Truskin Vitamin C Serum alone at night is absolutely suitable and can be beneficial for your skin. Vitamin C is known for its antioxidant properties, helping to neutralize free radicals and brighten the complexion. Applying the serum at night allows the active ingredients to work overnight, promoting skin repair and rejuvenation. For optimal results, we recommend the following steps when using our Vitamin C Serum at night: 1. Cleanse the face: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove any makeup, dirt, or impurities from your skin. 2. Apply Truskin Vitamin C Serum: Dispense a small amount of the serum onto your fingertips and gently massage it onto your face and neck. Allow it to absorb into the skin. As a suggestion, if this is the first time you are using our Serum then we always recommend conducting a patch test before incorporating any new product into your skincare routine. Apply a small amount of the serum to a discreet area and observe for any adverse reactions for at least 24 hours. -TruSkin Team

Q: I've been using Vitamin C serum on my face, neck and upper chest for many years. This product has no percentage of C (I usually use 20%) plus it doesn't indicate whether to refrigerate.
A: Hello! We use a special type of Vitamin C called Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) because it's more stable and gentler on the skin. Unlike common Ascorbic Acid (AA) that can degrade and lose potency, SAP stays strong over time, giving our serum a longer shelf life. Because we use SAP and it's extra stable, no refrigeration is needed! AA, found in many serums claiming high percentages, can drop by 40% in just 3 months. SAP remains potent, with a higher pH tolerance that suits various skin types, even sensitive ones. It also works well with other ingredients, enhancing stability and efficacy. The focus isn't just on the percentage but on using a superior form of Vitamin C for clear, bright, and beautiful-looking skin. It might sound a bit tricky, but the percentage isn't the only thing that matters. More isn't necessarily better. In a nutshell, with TruSkin Vitamin C Serum, you're not in a vitamin C arms race. You can trust that you're getting a superior form of vitamin C, SAP, at a clinically validated level for that clear, bright, and beautiful-looking skin. /TruSkin Brand Team/

Q: Can this product be used in conjunction with other topicals? (e.g. benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, etc.)
A: Hello! We are hearing the best results from customers that are applying our serums underneath their prescription products (such as Retin-A) and moisturizers and eye products on top of prescription products. However, we definitely recommend that you check in with your doctor or dermatologist to make sure that using any new skincare product along with your prescription will be safe for your specific skin care concerns. /TruSkin Brand Team/

Q: Does this serum trigger eczema?
A: Thanks for the question! Our best-in-class Vitamin C Facial Serum, which is specially formulated with Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP), a unique form of Vitamin C that is especially stable at a skin-friendly pH, making it very gentle on the skin while still being highly effective. Additionally, our Vitamin C Serum was thoughtfully and rigorously formulated without the use of fragrances, phthalates, sulfates, or other potentially harsh ingredients known to irritate skin. What’s more, to ensure that our Vitamin C Facial Serum is suitable for sensitive skin with minimal potential for irritation, sensitization, or allergic contact, it has been clinically and dermatologist tested (i.e., HRIPT testing). With that being said, as individual skin types vary, so too may results. Along those lines, if you have any allergy concerns, we advise that you review the ingredient listing with your doctor, and we also recommend doing a patch test (i.e., applying the product to a small area of your arm, face or neck at least 24 – 48 hours before applying to your entire face) to make sure the ingredients are suitable for your skin. -Truskin Team

Q: How long does it take for the product to clear up my hormonal acne ?
A: Hello! Vitamin C is frequently used for acne-prone skin, as it is known to help unclog pores, balance natural oils, and create the appearance of a brighter, smoother complexion. In our Vitamin C serum, we've included a stable and more gentle form of Vitamin C—Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate—which may be particularly beneficial compared to traditional Ascorbic Acid for acne-prone skin. For best results, we recommend using our Vitamin C serum consistently as part of a daily routine, as customers who use the serum consistently, both morning and night, have reported the best results in terms of improvements in the appearance of their skin. Keep in mind that the timeline may vary depending on individual skin types. -TruSkin Team

Q: Does this product oxidate over a period of time and is this to safe to use on African American Skin
A: Hi Yordi, Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concern about the potential oxidation of our Vitamin C Serum. We appreciate your diligence in caring for your skin, and we are happy to provide you with the following information: Truskin uses Sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is a stable derivative of vitamin C that is less prone to oxidation compared to other forms of vitamin C. This makes our Truskin Vitamin C Serum suitable for all skin types and formulated to resist oxidation over longer time comparatively, allowing you to enjoy its benefits for an extended period. To ensure the longevity of the product, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place and tightly sealing the container after each use. This helps protect the serum from exposure to light and air, which can contribute to the oxidation process. As with any skincare products, it's essential to check for changes in color, odor, or texture. If you notice any significant alterations, we recommend discontinuing use and contacting our customer service team for further assistance. Truskin Vitamin C Serum is developed for all skin types. However, individual reactions can vary, so we always recommend conducting a patch test before incorporating any new product into your skincare routine. Apply a small amount of the serum to a discreet area and observe for any adverse reactions for at least 24 hours. We hope this information addresses your concerns, and we appreciate your commitment to your skincare routine. If you have any additional questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service team directly at Support@TruSkin.com. -TruSkin Team

Q: Is it non-comedogenic?
A: Our best-selling Vitamin C Serum was thoughtfully formulated with a purposeful blend of skin-friendly, non-comedogenic ingredients. Having said that, please keep in mind that as individual skin types vary, so too can results. Because of this, we always recommend performing a patch test by applying the serum to a small area of your arm, face, or neck at least 24-48 hours before applying to your entire face to make sure the product is suitable for your skin. -TruSkin Team
