If you're looking for a pack of reliable, clean pens, then grab a pack of Pilot G2 Ultra Fine Tip Gel Pens. These no-smear gel pens apply ink cleanly and smoothly, and feature ultra-fine tips for writers and artists demanding precision. For those of us who write with pens regularly, these retractable gel pens are sure to be an instant favorite.
Love love love this pen! I was previously using a Japanese gel pen (Uniball Signo 0.38) and I can say this one writes so much better and lasts twice as much. Also, I can practically get three of these for the price of only one of the other brand. If you love ultra fine tip pens then you will absolutely love these. The ink is super black, it does not "skip" or become hard to write, also does not stain (important if you're left-handed and drag you hand on the paper). I highly recommend these and I am so happy Target carries these since 0.38 mm tip pens are hard to find!
The Pilot Gel Pen .07 (black) has become my go-to writing instrument. I just wish the tips were consistently smooth. The manufacturers need better quality control in that area, but the fine tip pen does write well when it is "broken in". That's why I chose it. For the price, it's a good pen.
In my search for the best writing pen for the value I narrowed it down to 2 pens: The G2 gel writer 0.7 and Pen and Gear gel pen 0.7. I really like the Pilot pen but I've tried and tested the two mentioned against each other and found that they right exactly the same, had all the qualities I was looking for. The only difference is the Pen and Gear pen is far less expensive than the Pilot G2 pen! A 2 pack of Pilot G2 pens cost, on average, more than twice the price of the Pen and Gear gel pens in a 2 CT. pack.
Maybe I shouldn't have gotten these gel pens. They're close to magic markers than regular pens. The ink is very black. On the other hand, they glide smoothly, and I like that they're retractable. I also like that theyre very fine point.
