Q: My question for this product is, is the tip of the highlighter suppose to super pale or is it suppose to already have pigment? I purchased mine today and all of my highlighters are super pale.

A: The ink in the FriXion erasable pastel highlighters is designed to deliver a softer, more subtle laydown on paper than traditional highlighters. These highlighters have beautiful highlight colors. I love that they are light colors still somehow pop but as others have mentioned, these highlighters smear when I used gel pens. I tried to use different types of pens and the only time I didn’t get smearing was when I waited until the ink dried before highlighting and I was very careful and gentle with it. They are not my favorite when I’m not in a hurry and have spare time to wait until the gel ink dries but they do the job plus they are erasable and so I am just going to keep them. I recommend these to those are just journaling or those who are not in a hurry but this won’t work for students who are joting down notes in a rush.

These highlighters had no pigment at first and after a couple of uses, they stopped working and are light and streaky. they do not work. the eraser feature also doesn't erase well at all. i do not recommend these. save your money for different highlighters.

I bought these because they are light/pastel, which means I can still easily read what I’ve highlighted. Standard highlighters are sometimes too saturated; these are GREAT! Of the 5-pack of colors, the blue pen has the most saturation. Bonus that the ink is also easily erasable. Will definitely buy these again.

Right away they feel like they’re already running out of ink. The pink, blue, and yellow are not pastel - they’re too dark/neon. The eraser will smear ink under the highlighting. The only good thing is that they won’t bleed through since barely much ink comes out. Don’t buy these!

These are super cute colors, but a tad darker than I had anticipated. The eraser is such a cool feature. Just to note though anyone who is looking for highlighters for Bible notes these do not erase on Bible paper but work super well on regular paper.
