Just a SCHMEAR...
I WANT MY GOOD & GATHER DOUBLE PACK CREAM CHEESE BACK IN STOCK. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it BACK. Best price around and a great product. Philadelphia costs TWICE as much. NO explanation for dropping this brand from my local and no other Target within any decent distance. PHOOEY.

My wife is particular about her cream cheese. The well known brand was always her go to, but was willing to try some store brands. Good and Gather has been the only brand to live up to the well known brand. We have used this cream cheese in cheesecake recipes, mashed potatoes, and cream sauces.

Cream cheese looked swollen in package. Upon further inspection the cream cheese had gone bag and the package had exploded inside the box.

affordable cream cheese
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality is good for price, I personally have never had any issues (yet I guess) with this cream cheese. I usually make cheesecake with them and I soak the packages in warm water and they’re not lumpy or rubbery at all, very creamy.

So GROSS.. very gummy texture.
I typically buy Philadelphia for bagels but use Good & Gather for baking.. I went to make a bagel and good & gather was all I had. I could 100% tell a difference.. the good & gather cream cheese tastes more sour and has a weird gummy texture. It's so bad. I put it on my bagel and ate about a quarter before I just decided to throw it away .. got the major ICK from it. WILL NOT be purchasing again.

Why all of the added gums?
I used to enjoy this cream cheese until they added 3 different gums to it. Not a necessary ingredient. Tastes funny with an odd texture and negatively affects gut health. Won’t be buying this again.

Great Cream Cheese
I use cream cheese in alot of items that I cook and I love how this one comes off the wrapper so easy without having to scrap it off with a knife.

Lumpy cheesecake
This is the only ingredient that I changed in my cheesecake recipe and it turned out horribly lumpy. I usually use Philadelphia cream cheese, will certainly be going back.

Truly awful product
I use and enjoy many market pantry items but this is a miss. -packed in plastic that looks like foil but instead of being able to open, use some and rewrap, the plastic rips across the product -GUMMY and waxy consistency -slimy -for cooking, it doesn’t fully mix in the recipe, many lumps -flavor is okay, would accept for spreading on a bagel but nowhere near philly Skip this one and pony up for philadephia brand

Bad taste; full of gums.
Yuck! This cream cheese is packed with gums to make it creamy and spreadable, which also makes it messy and, most importantly, gives it a funny taste. Will not be buying again.

Not great
Not a great product at all. Produces a funny flavor in food and the packaging falls apart when you try to open it. Spend the extra money and get Philiadelphia

Yuck
Definitely not Philadelphia cream cheese. This was the only kind left at the store and I won’t be getting it again.

Would Not Use Again for Baking
I had a horrible time this year with the texture of two of my holiday cookie recipes that I always make. It occurred to me that both of them used cream cheese. The dough was extremely gluey (not sticky in a good way). I noticed it was difficult just getting the cheese out of the package. Not sure about the taste - I didn't taste it - but I guess there is a difference in brands when it comes to baking.
