A: Hi - sure, you can use a wall dimmer switch with this ceiling light. If you are planning on using LED bulbs just make sure they are dimmable and that the dimmer is LED compatible. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - this has a mercury glass base that is a silver tone, but it is reflective, so it will pick up and reflect other color tones in your room as well as the color of the bulb you are using.

Nice style but has 'hot spots'
I love the structure of this light. It looks so nice with the design of my kitchen. The warm brass coordinates well with my dove white cabinets and brushed gold pulls. I'm not fond of the two "hot spots" where the lightbulbs glow show through the shade, though. I thought it might look better if it had 3 or 4 bulbs to appear more balanced when the light is on. Now when lit, it gives the impression that 2 bulbs are out. I've decided to live with it and hope it bothers me less as time goes by just because it is such a smart looking design.

Great complement to the flush mount style. I put this as a downstairs entry piece and paired with the flush mount style in the upstairs hallway since they’re connected, and adds a really great statement yet fluidity.
