Pretty, but when I purchased, there was no mention of lead being incorporated into this item. When I opened box, I was introduced to a warning paper that said caution. Lead. I won't be keeping it.

The second reason is they are retro and remind me of the light fixtures I grew up with so I get a little nostalgic whenever I stare up at them. I needed a fixture that was close to the ceiling and that would provide LOTS of overhead light. This was more aesthetically pleasing to my eye than anything else I saw. It compliments the other lamps & fixtures in the same room. So many of these types of ceiling lights look just like the ones I grew up with and disliked. This was a refreshing take on a close to the ceiling fixture. Very, very pleased.
