This pen has a fine 0.7mm tip and I received the Black Ink version. It comes with a cap with a metal clip, and although I prefer a pen that you can click to use, this one does write smoothly on paper without running or smudging. I like the fine tip and how the pen is comfortable to hold since it is sleek and slim enough for my small hands. It is reasonably priced plus you can see how much ink remains in the pen.

I prefer a minimal looking pen style, with clip to keep on my book covers. This one has a precise tip that is just the right combination of hard tip for a fine line, but soft enough to roll smoothly.

I have used Pilot V5 pens for awhile now, so I was excited to try the V7. The packaging of the pen is just like many other pens. This pen has a cap, which should be replaced, if you carry your pen around. There is a possibility of losing the cap. The pen usually writes smoothly and feels good in the hand. Some of the writing smudged when using this pen. There was a period of time when the ink didn’t seem to flow to the tip of the pen making the writing uneven.
