The Premier Pet™ Wireless Add-A-Dog collar allows you to expand your current Premier Pet Wireless Fence (GIF00-16917 or GIF00-16347) or the Guardian Wireless Fence to contain an unlimited number of dogs, or can be used as a replacement or extra receiver collar. When used with any of these wireless fence systems, a circular barrier keeps your dog safely in your yard. Coverage is adjustable up to 1/2 acre and is expandable for additional coverage area. This waterproof receiver collar is adjustable up to 27”, making it a great fit for both smaller and larger dogs. A low battery indicator on the collar will alert you when the collar battery (GAC11-16351) should be replaced. The collar has 1 level of tone only for training and 5 adjustable levels of static correction so that you are able to choose which level works best for your dog. A safety time-out feature will stop correcting after 30 seconds should your dog get outside of the boundary zone. Q: Does it zap the dog and do you have like flags for the boundary

A: Thank you for asking about this, Olive! On certain settings this collar provides a mild static correction to redirect your dog's attention and remind them of their training. As this is an add-a-dog collar it would not come with a transmitter or flags, but if purchasing a kit flags to serve as a visual boundary during training are included. A: Thank you for asking about this, Olive! This is an add-a-dog collar, so it would not have a boundary by itself. This is an additional collar that can be purchased if you are using one of our wireless systems and have more than one dog. Our wireless system can be seen here- https://www.target.com/p/premier-pet-1-2-acre-adjustable-wireless-fence-black/-/A-82211057 This system operates by emitting a circular boundary from the transmitter, which would be placed in a fully indoor, climate controlled location. The circular boundary can be adjusted, and can reach up to 90 ft. from the transmitter. When the collar reaches the end of the boundary area and loses signal, it would provide first a tone and then, depending on its setting, a mild static correction to redirect your dog's attention and remind them of the boundaries that you teach them during the training process. We 1st got this collar for our saint Bernard pup and it worked ok, we now use this collar for our 3yr old blood hound and works well for him to! I would have gave this five stars but there are two things I do not like about this shock collar... 1 on the box it says this shock collar is water proof its not, our saint was off leash trained and only used this collar when she could not be watched but we would often go hiking with her while she was wearing the shock collar (it was shut off) and on many of the trails our saint would swim, and the collar would not work again until we put new batteries in the collar. 2 the collar will often beep when the dog is within its boundaries we have never had it shock our dog but our dog will still get scared from the beeping sound because he knows its a warning and this makes him scared and unsure of where he can go!

It is important to mention that this collar is waterproof up to 5 feet as long as it is not physically damaged, and as long as there is a battery installed. As there is no way to power this collar off, the only way for it to be 'off' is to remove the battery, and the collar would not be waterproof in this state. We're so sorry for any confusion. Followed the same training steps as we did with our dog and he learned his boundaries fairly easily. Works just like our dog's collar, no interference. Gave us added peace of mind while dog sitting for an extended period of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar goes with the Premier Pet Wireless Fence system, and I had no trouble adding it on (system is made for adding on as many dogs as you like). It is adjustable for a good fit, and it has multiple settings for training, even a tone-only so my poor little ones don't have to be zapped with a static charge unless absolutely necessary. It has a low battery indicator so I don't have to wonder if it needs replacing. Even though the collar looks bulky, it is quite trim and neat on my dog and does not get in the way of things, though it is taking some getting used to on her part. I now have two dogs on the system because one collar came with it, and I got this additional one. Set up was easy for the extra collar so no hassles. A great product, so happy to have them!
