Used to be the only Shake I would drink. Been my breakfast and midday snack for years ever day. Just had first taste of the new recipe in purple container. Has no flavor no sweetness, and a horrible aftertaste that lingers. I buy several cases at a time and will be returning them.

Why did you have to go and ruin a good thing? The new chocolate formula has a slimy mouthfeel that reminds me of the old slimfast shakes. Won't be buying again.
I will not buy the chocolate shakes again.

Actually tastes like chocolate flavored water. First time I've purchased and not nearly as creamy as boost. Priced better but very watery. Would be much better if it was actually a little thicker.

We have consistently purchased the chocolate premier protein shakes for the past 3 years. My husband, my son, and me drink 1/day. That's 1095/year between the 3 of us! We HATE the new formula. It's terrible and synthetic tasting. We're so sad as they were the best shakes on the market before. We're no longer going to be drinking them. I guess protein powder life is back for us.
I don't like the new flavor:-(

I use these as frequent snacks. As a T2 diabetic I need high protein low carb. I really liked the previous flavor but I'm not wild about the change.

I used to love the chocolate protein shakes. They were my favorite shakes and I drank them every morning. The new formula is absolutely disgusting. It was hard to choke down and I thought I was going to be sick afterwards. I need to find a new alternative because I won't be purchasing these any longer.
New and Improved Taste? That's a No!!!

This new formulation of the chocolate flavor tastes horrible! It has almost no chocolate flavor. It basically tastes like vitamins mixed with milk. Even more importantly, for customers that are using this product for much needed protein but also have daily sodium limitations it has increased the sodium by 27%!! It increased from 180mg to 230mg with no warning! This is poor customer relations. Unacceptable. Put the old formula back into production. Will the sodium levels be increasing in all your flavors? I think I will be looking for a better, cheaper alternative.

Anyone who gives these less than 5 stars is a noob. Absolute great taste, protein and cost compared to all other similar products. Perfect for meal replacement or for a bulk.
Why did you change the flavor

I've been using the chocolate Premier Protein for breakfast for years. The other day I go to buy some on sale at Costco and what does it say on the box "new & improved flavor"! That scared me and rightly so. It's still OK but now it hasn't aftertaste and it's sweeter and thicker. I don't like it well, at least I won't be tempted to have it when I want something sweet.

I drank the chocolate shake for breakfast for the last 5+ years. The chocolate flavor was the best of any ready-to-drink shakes I'd ever had. Now I purchased the newest package and as I read the label it was obvious they downsized on many of the vitamins and INCREASED the amount of sodium by 50mg. Going from 8% to 10%. I was hoping to not notice it in the flavor of the drink, however to my displeasure, the sodium was quite strong. And the chocolate flavor has been absolutely watered down. It is extremely, extremely, disappointing. And I've already begun to research other options. I'm so disappointed, as I loved this flavor so much and loved the fact that it had the most protein. But sadly, I'd rather take a cut in protein in a morning shake then drink the new version of the Premier Protein Chocolate Shake.

As a graphic designer, I clocked the updated brand and packaging immediately and was so excited to try the new flavor, but after tasting these, I'm less than excited with them. The taste is much more "pure cocoa"/dark chocolatey vs the previously sweeter shake and I'm pretty bummed about it. I loved the original flavor. We switched to these shakes from Fairlife because we felt we got more bang for our buck with them (vitamins, energy, quantity, etc.) and the flavor was so good. I'm still adventurous and excited to try the other flavors you offer, maybe I'll find a new favorite, but overall bummed with chocolate 😞

New recipe tastes bad so I looked at the label- too much sodium and it's a thicker shake. My stomach is upset after drinking it. They also lowered the already low fiber. Why change a good shake?!
Not the new chocolate. It's horrible

The plastic bottled version is good and I never had a problem with it, tried the cardboard containers for a quick fix and sure enough like other reviews stated 1/4 of the containers had a leak or something wrong with it and had totally spoiled milk in it, I could tell right away but non the less I’m still disappointed considering these are not very cheap and the smell was very rancid.
