Q: Will this help hold my area rug on top of my carpet?
A: This is not how it's shown in the pictures or the video. The latex side is shown down, against the flooring. Which is correct?
submitted byKP - 6 years agoA: Hello! Yes, this rug pad is made for use on either hard surface flooring or soft surface flooring. It will hold your rug in place on top of carpet. Just place the felt side down against the carpet, and the rubber/latex side up against the back of your area rug.

Q: Can I cut this pad to use for small bathroom rugs? And does it do well to keep rugs from slipping on carpeting?
A: yes, you can cut though need very heavy scissors. Will keep bath rugs from slipping, though might take a while to dry if it's wet in the bathroom as it's pretty thick fibrous material. No it's not the appropriate choice for keeping rugs on carpeting. need a special kind of pad for that.
submitted byrug fan - 7 years agoA: Are use the pad and a laminated wood floor with a heavy wool rug. It’s never moved. I don’t think it would be practical in her bathroom because it’s much thicker than the other kind of rug pad. I don’t recommend putting a rug on top of carpeting. Hey I don’t have a seat.

Q: The spec's listed for 5' round pad say it is 58", 2" less in diameter than the 5' round should be. The 6' round specifications show it is a full 72" round. Is 5' cut smaller? I need 60", please advise
A: Hi, there. This pad is 4' 10". It is not offered in a 60". However, it is usually ideal to have the rug pad be 1 - 2" smaller then the rug so that the rug can overlap the rug pad.

Q: Does this have rubber or vinyl against floor? I was told by LVP rep not to use those two in rug pads, but people are being told they can use. Is rubber only on one side and it goes against carpet then?
A: We have tested this rug pad on all Mohawk flooring types and have not had any adverse reactions to date. If your flooring is from another manufacturer, we recommend checking with them if there are any specific things they advise against. The face material is crafted from post-consumer recycled polyester. This face material is then backed with a non-slip latex that is about 75% natural rubber and 25% synthetic rubber. To get the optimal use out of the Dual Surface Rug Pad, it needs to be laid according to flooring type. For carpet, place the rug pad under your rug with the felt side facing down toward the floor. For hard surface flooring, place the rug pad under your rug with the non-slip latex rubber side facing down toward the floor.

Q: I know you recommend spot or professional cleaning. What would happen if we machine washed the underpad?
A: Machine washing a rug pad would expand and loosen the fibers due to the construction of the pad, ultimately causing it to unravel.
