Q: what is gelatin derived from?

submitted by H - 2 years ago

Q: can these be crushed? I am so bad at taking pills and the gummies make me so sick. I need something I can crush.

submitted by AJ1997 - 2 years ago
  • A: AJ1997 - Thank You for your question. Yes. For pregnant women who have difficulty swallowing tablets, just take a prenatal supplement that has been halved or crushed. The facilitate the ingestion of the supplement, it is possible to mix it with food (pureed or liquid). There is no decrease in absorption associated with taking the supplement that way. I hope this helps! Happy Shopping!

These have a bunch of fake dyes in them including red 40. I’m really trying to avoid polluting my body in general but especially when pregnant, so it’s a no for me.

I can't take extra biotin or my skin and hair get very greasy. This is the only vitamin I've found without biotin. Loved these while pregnant with both my kids. And I still use them as my multi vitamin every morning. Please don't ever change this formula!

Artifical dyes...are you kidding me???

AnastasiaF - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
I bought these thinking “wow, what a great price!” but realized a few weeks later that they contained artificial dyes!!! Why??? I started experiencing horrible mood swings and general mood disregulation, and had absolutely no idea why and just figured it was stress or something else. I am usually very cautious about not consuming artificial dyes bc they have this effect on me. Then I just happened to glance at the label one night when taking one before bed and immediately became irate and put 2 and 2 together. Ugh right in the garbage!!! I’m not pregnant yet, but wow, why on earth would you put dyes in a prenatal vitamin??? So unnecessary!!! Do better, Target!!!

Still have to take a fish oil to get sufficient omegas but otherwise, a complete prenatal in a sea of prenatals that don’t cover dv’s of essential nutrients!

Why are there so many artificial dyes in this prenatal vitamin? Dyes that are banned in almost all other parts of the world. This is ridiculous.

My doc told me to take these because I have chronic fatigue. I didn't notice any changes (fatigue, energy, hair, nails, etc.) after completing the 100 daily pills. Maybe it only works for pregnant folks?

Stopped using these because they contain artificial dye red 40.. a carcinogen. Makes me wonder if the reason they are so cheap is because the ingredients aren’t quality. Spend the extra money and get something more pure and healthy for you and future baby!
