Q: I have purchased this container recently and the two levers came off of the side to let the air flow vent to work- how do I get these two levers back in to work they way they should?

submitted by Putsy - 3 years ago

  • A: The clasps are similar to popular storage tote designs. As long as nothing is broken, you can snap them back in placing one side on the groove and snapping in the other.

submitted byProgressive Item Expert - 3 years ago

  • A: They should snap back in by placing one side on the groove and snapping in the other. If you need furher assistance we're here to help! Email consumeraffairs@progressiveintl.com

Q: How long will it keep strawberries fresh.

submitted by Kim - 7 months ago

  • A: The Produce ProKeeper extends the freshness of strawberries by at least 3 days versus keeping them in the store container. It is not possible to give a firm timeline on how long it will keep strawberries fresh per the following: -How long the strawberries remain fresh depends upon how ripe they are when purchased -Strawberries should always be dry, and not rinsed, when stored in the Produce ProKeeper -Consumers should always wash their hands before transferring the strawberries to the Produce ProKeeper to minimize the transfer of mold spores

Q: Are they narrower on the bottom compared with the top? For example, is the 7.25 Inches (D) measurement the same for the bottom and top?

submitted by SantaFePainter - 1 year ago

  • A: The Produce Keeper is slightly tapered which makes the width and length measurements a bit smaller toward the bottom.

Q: Anyone try this with baby cut carrots to hold off the slime and rot longer?

submitted by Dialupgirl - 2 years ago

  • A: Yes and it works great!

Best Fruit and Vegetable Container

I love this container. It keeps fruits and vegetables fresh so much longer. Even basil doesn’t turn brown!

I’m usually skeptical of all online reviews but these were spot on. Absolutely anything I store in them keeps days longer without issue. Only minor issue was cracks in shipping but they replaced them with new ones in just a few days. Love these and will buy more!

Must have

Just the most perfect veggie keeper. Love veggies in salads, etc and never enough space in produce bin for them. Has vents to open or leave closed depending in veg type and list on lid of which ones require open/closed and/or little water or none and drain slits in bottom…love it!

Really works!!

ok just to test this out. I bought 2 containers of strawberries I put one directly in the fridge and the other one in here. After a week, the one that was in fridge went bad and the one that was in this container surprisingly lasted another week or so!! ever since then, I got my whole family to buy them.

awesome!

love these, they actually do work! my 2 year old loves strawberry and buying the bigger containers is just easier. with the produce keeper I don't have to worry about them going bad in a few days. I've left them in there for 2 weeks and they still look like they just came home from the store. I will say this does not happen every time but they work well enough I have 3 in different sizes. I absolutely recommend if u hate throwing out produce.

Love love love this!!!

Love this so much! My produce usually wilts the day after I buy it. But I tested out a bunch of kale. Washed it and tore it on Sunday. Its Thursday and still gorgeous green. I'm in love!!!!

LOVE these containers

I originally bought the entire set, I was so impressed, I came back to buy two more 3 qt containers. I finally have a way to keep my fruits and veggies fresh. I'm very happy, it was ridiculous how much produce was being wasted before I bought these. I am keeping veggies for 3-4 weeks now and some things like celery last even longer. I have since ordered these for two sisters and a niece, that's how well they work

I was a fool for buying into this

These do not work at all. A trusty ziploc bag worked much much better.
