Works well and all three of my littles trained on it - we bought multiple for upstate and downstairs. They loved it ‘cause it was “comfy”. It’s actually squishy and yet still very stable .

The Perfect Potty Training Seat for Young Children

We absolutely loved this potty seat for our three daughters, who were each potty trained successfully and easily at 21 months, 18 months, and 17 months using the 3-day method. When training kids this young, comfort and security are key to prevent them from falling through, and this seat checked all the boxes. Our girls adapted to it immediately, and now at 13, 9, and 7 years old, they've never had accidents or regressions. We highly recommend this product for potty training children between 1 and 2 years old. It also did not rip or disintegrate over 3 kids! In fact, I'm so convinced of its effectiveness that I've just purchased a few more for my fourth child, who is 15 months old. A definite must-have for early potty training!

Comfortable but might not last long

Mama of 4 - 1 year ago
Best all foam potty seat/topper currently on the market but not perfect. I had gotten this because I was hunting for something similar to the foam topper that came with the older (2018/2019) Summer Infant My Size Potty. That topper was a comfortable durable foam (they later changed it to a hard plastic seat), it was smaller in diameter and lower profile than this one, didn’t have any suction cups but worked for us and round toilets well enough for a 20-30 lb toddler to feel secure on it. I had it for my first and then while dogsitting it got chewed by my BIL dog. So in early 2022 with #2 showing signs of being ready for potty training around 18 months (like with first baby), I wanted a similar seat. The puj potty seat was a fail for us, was too flimsy, could barely hold a 20-21lb toddler on a standard round toilet. This Tinkle Squish feels really solid but only lasted about 2 months before it started splitting in half across the underside, despite being careful and following the instructions on proper removal. When the suction cups engage from pressing the seat down or the weight of the child, it makes the topper stick and needs to be removed in a particular way to release the suction cups without possibly damaging the foam from force/repetitive motion. Ours still cracked despite me being the primary person to assist them with removal. I give it points for mostly one piece construction, thick comfortable foam that they both LOVED, and ease of cleaning/sanitizing. Where it disappointed: too bulky and heavy for standard plastic potty toilet tank hooks or command hooks so it has to stand on the floor, longevity is lacking for the price, and since it needs to be removed in a particular way it’s harder for toddlers under 4 to have that independence. After giving up on the search for the best foam potty seat, we switched the kiddos to a toilet seat with a built-in potty training seat. And if you’re wondering why I’m doing a review of this in Dec 2023, it’s because baby #3 is showing signs of readiness at 13 months old but hates the feeling of sitting on the flat plastic built-in potty seat. Sooo my search is back on for a good foam potty seat. I might try the Prince Lionheart Tinkle Trainer Squish version depending on the reviews. Wish me luck! For anyone who cares to read all this haha… Here are some of the signs of toilet training readiness: Able to stay dry for longer than usual Staying dry over-night Pulling at or Removing wet/dirty diapers Doesn’t like being wet/dirty Poops on schedule Able to say/signal they went pee or poo (before or after) Can follow simple instructions Can undress themself For what’s its worth, so far all of mine have never used pull-ups and been out of daytime diapers before age 2. From the time they could stand independently we would practice peeing on command in the tub with the water running (before starting their bath) and show lots of excitement when achieved, verbalize pee and poo when they made it, looking for the readiness signs and once they show 3-4 of the signs we picked a long weekend to do the 3 day no bottoms thing. Then I do a week or two with loose or airy bottoms, no underwear or diapers to help the potty training stick. Sometimes adding underwear too early confuses them and brings back the feeling of a diaper. There are also good training underwear with waterproof barriers out there. Accidents will happen but get fewer with time, setting timers or reminders helps minimize them especially when children get distracted while playing and having fun. I feel generally boys have more nighttime accidents and girls have more daytime accidents but of course every child is different. To save money and reduce waste, for my boy I used a reusable diaper shell at bedtime with microfiber inserts. After about 3-6 months we started taking him to pee in the toilet part way through the night, about 3-4 hours after bedtime and then he stayed dry through the night. By age 5-6 he would wake up on his own to walk to bathroom without accidents. We never restricted liquids and allow them to drink water right up until bedtime but some parents cut liquids off 3 hrs prior to bedtime and get them to stay dry all night that way too… of course making sure to potty immediately before going to bed. For girls I highly recommend a portable female urinal, lifesaver at playgrounds and places were you end up far from a toilet and have under 2 mins to avoid an accident. Hope some of this helps on your family’s potty training journey.

Another useless potty seat

Another useless potty seat. It is supposed to suction (with two tiny suction cups on the underside of the front of the seat and nothing on the back) to the toilet seat but when my 2 1/2 year old tries to sit on it, the seat goes sliding. He has ended up nearly falling into the toilet or almost falling off of the toilet. This is the fourth potty seat out there we have tried and so disappointed they all seem useless. Two stars for comfort compared to all the other potty seats put there.

After trying other kids toilet seats that didn't work I found this one. He Loves it. Says it comfy. It's not pretty but it was the best one. I let another nephew use it, he said the same thing. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
