Priscilla (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital)

This movie was not bad, but not good either. Quite boring. The book Elvis & Me in which this is based on was way more interesting than whatever travesty this was supposed to be. Both Elvis and Priscilla lacked character in this. They were quite dull. Nothing like how they are in the book. I’d say this was a flop overall.

Zilla is a professional victim. She conveniently left out all the details of her part in the destruction of her marriage. She knew exactly who Elvis was when she married him. Her parents pushed for the relationship and marriage. She didn't mention that she began an affair with her dance instructor after Lisa's birth. She left the marriage for her next affair Mike Stone, her married karate instructor that had a child and another on the way. Shortly before Elvis' passing she put a lean on Graceland for the money from her 2nd divorce settlement from Elvis. The estate had to pay her off before Graceland could open to the public. After Elvis' death she took the Presley name again and dumped Lisa Marie on a cult for them to raise while she was jet setting on Presley money with her never ending string of boy friends, one of which was infatuated with little Lisa and groomed her. Lisa caught Priscilla stealing from her trust and sued her. Priscilla was ordered to pay Lisa back $7 million. They had not been on speaking terms since 2016. Then it would only be a few years later after Lisa's passing Zilla would then sue her grandchildren for millions of dollars from the trust Lisa had excluded her from and left for her children. She is not a Presley, just the ex-wife! Those that want to say it's her story to tell then tell the whole story. Even a pancake has 2 sides. Where's Elvis' side? She's been telling her side for 50 years whether in the tabloids or her 1985 book Elvis and Me, or the movie Elvis and Me in 1988. This movie is just a remake of the original Elvis and Me. Every Elvis movie ever made, she's been the one telling the story from behind the seens not Elvis, not even Elvis' family members. She excludes Elvis' family members and others in his life from those stories. She likes to re-write history to exclude everyone from Elvis' life but her. The stories are always changing. To hear her tell it she is responsible for every acheivement Elvis ever worked for in his lifetime. Before Lisa Marie passed she asked Copolla not to make this movie because she didn't feel it was an accurate representation of her father. Utimately the all mighty dollar won again. Will Zilla ever finish telling "HER" story or living off the Presley name? How many of us would want our story told solely by our ex-spouse? Don't even get me started on her second (confidential) marriage to a conman (she thought he had money too) claiming to be a Garibaldi but is actually named Garcia. They had a son and they would blow through another 50 million in Presley money over the length of that relationship. Lisa Marie left her half brother a ninth of her trust when she passed only to have him go live on his Instagram afterward talking about how much he hated his sister. By the way Zilla is now the executor of her sons trust. I can't wait to see how that turns out for him. He will get exactly what he deserves in the end. Will Priscilla? Now she has sued her way into being buried at Graceland. How may of us would want to be buried with our ex-spouse? Lisa Marie and Elvis are the real victims of this story.

perfect!! looks even dreamier on DVD and i love the extra behind the scenes videos. i love everything about this movie and sofia coppola’s work in general. must have for any sofia/priscilla fan! ♡

Great film. Went to the store and noticed that the dvd wasn’t on the shelves, so I asked a worker and they checked in the back and got me one! Very good experience with the employee and the movie is just beautifully executed.
