High quality. I drink in hot water one tablespoon of slippery elm and a teaspoon black bean oil. This seems to be effective in quelling intestinal problems I had before the slippery elm (which my daughter had strongly recommended).

I use this to help stop acid reflux when I’m trying to sleep in my bed. I’ve been putting 2 taps in a 8 oz glass of water. It works most of the time but if I have acid too bad a slippery elm lozenge under my tongue while n bed helps.

Excellent product at an excellent price! I eat it as a morning cereal sometimes and sometimes use it as a tea or the occasional poultice. I find it helpful for what ails me. Thank you for carrying it.

I make a morning matcha~slippery elm latte and this brand and powder is my favorite! It soothes my GI track and improves digestion. Could not do without it!

I've been using this product for over 2 yrs now. The effectiveness of Slippery Elm is wonderful; improve my bowel movement, my sleep, and overall health. It is very mild, and I can use it daily specially when I travel to keep the regularity. I simply mix it in a full glass of water and drink it down quickly early in the morning before I do anything else. Empty stomach is the best time for slippery elm to work well. Yet, the sticky grainy like texture ill remain in the glass, so wash it off.

Love slippery elm, best product for digestive issues.

I purchased a bag of slippery elm bark. The bag came with a tear, and when I finally opened it, a couple of weeks after it arrived, because we went on a vacation, I noticed the bark inside smelled stale. I didn't even think this stuff could get stale. There is no expiration date on it. I bought it to give it to my 12 yr old daughter, but I am afraid to even try it myself after smelling it. It has the same smell as old stale walnuts do. I am going to ask for a refund and see what happens. This is actually my first bad experience buying from Swanson, and I have been a long time costumer. I mention that I used slippery elm bark in the past, and I know it should not have this horrible smell.

I believe this is a great deal. Why? Because slippery elm has some great health benefits, and to get 1 pound at this price and quality is excellent; at least in my opinion. Look up the health benefits, if you want. I have taken slippery elm before for a few health reasons, and this herb is one of my absolute favorites, because of how well it has worked for me. This form of slippery elm comes in a bag, which may be difficult to re-seal at times, but the contents could always be transferred to a more solid container for keeping. I like how slippery elm bark tastes as a tea. Soothing, and kind of an earthy tone. Bottom line: 1 pound certified organic slippery elm bark powder. Great price on Swanson's. If you want or need a lot of this herb, here is an option for you.
