What happened?
I have enjoyed your original black label as a true example of quality bacon for look texture and flavor. I just cooked a full package the color smell were off the whole time cooking. The bacon never seemed to crisp up like normal, then seemed to want to burn on low heat.now I have eaten this product since I was a child, and I don't think I will buy this bacon again. Even my dog passed on a piece and left it. Please change what ever is different back to the Original Black Label.

Everything that's being posted about how harmful cooking anything in a microwave and now your putting it in plastic. Double disaster. I'll cook mine in a frying pan with a bacon press.

product is great, but one suggestion, stop cutting it for weight and cut for accuracy, id rather pay more or less than to have such an uneven slices. guess, anyone not microwaving has no problem

I would not buy black label microwave bacon again
I have bought two different packages of Hormel microwave bacon and both have had bore taint. They smelled so bad I could not eat them. I will no be buying this product again.

I will never buy this again!
I opened a package of Hormel Black Label Original bacon. I was greatly impressed I had scored an excellent cut!! Very even in the meat and fat! Cut it up in pieces to put in greens. It would not brown, no grease, just a watery substance. Also…absolutely no Smokey odor of REAL bacon. I continued to try to brown it. No wonderful smell of bacon. Kind of a funky odor emitted from the pan. I thought maybe my smeller was off, so I added all the other ingredients. I cannot explain the odor..just nasty! After an hour, I took a tiny taste of the broth. I have never in my life tasted anything so nasty! I threw it all out. Will never but this again!!! What the heck was that??? Definitely not smoked pork bacon! The ingredients do not even list pork on the list. 🤷♀️. 🤢🤢

We are being robbed!
I got home today with my Hormel black label center cut bacon to make a recipe. When I pulled back the black label, the stack of bacon looked smaller than usual. I decided to weigh it with the packaging and it was 11.7 ounces!!! I pay top dollar for this brand because we love center cut. It's usually a lot of meat, but this time it's loaded with fat! As someone who buys this product often, I'm so disappointed.

Tastes great... When the pouch isn't defective
Been buying this for a few years because of the convenience factor, since it doesn't cost much more than regular bacon. I always buy the family pack, and usually all is well - maybe a pouch here or there pops open beyond the little vent. This last time, 6 of the 8 pouches in one box all split open along the seam. The two that didn't pop all the way open tasted great as usual, but 3/4 of the package ended up in the trash.

I will NOT buy this product AGAIN
We bought an 8 pouch box from BJ's. Tried to cook a pouch (4 slice) and the pouch did not cook. We thought we did something wrong so we tried cooking a second pouch. It didn't cook ether. We verified our microwave was working. We then checked the bacon pouches and found the side of all the remaining pouches weren't completely sealed. The same side in the same spot. There is no way to check this before purchasing so we won't waste our money on any more of this product. I guess the Quality or Inspection department of HORMEL, wasn't work that day. Even this review platform doesn't work. Select all that applies won't let you select more than one selection. They give you 4 to select

No matter how long it "cooks" in the microwave, it comes out raw!!! Thought the first box was a fluke, now the second box is also in the trash. Waste of money!!!

I keep trying and trying and buying and buying but I'm done now. The bacon is never done!! It's so raw, even after adding extra time. One thing is the bag pops before the cooking is completed, and I mean this is every time!

What happened?!!
For the past eight years, I have ONLY bought this bacon, and would even pay more for it because of the quality, esp when compared to other brands. I love to make BLT's and the taste and texture were always top grade and very close to what I've had in some of the best restaurants. NOT anymore! This is worse than any brand I've ever tasted. Too salty, crumbles at the touch of it, has this very orange looking color once it's cooked, and honestly just tastes artificial! Do better Hormel! We are all saying the same thing, and you know whatever you did to your product is when we all started complaining!

I will keep buying this bacon!
This bacon and the convenience of cooking it has made my life so much easier! I am disabled and can't cook the way I used to. So, to be able to pop a package in the microwave and know that in 2 1/2 minutes I'll have perfectly cooked bacon is truly a great help. The bacon almost always cooks exactly to my liking. Not too crunchy and not too floppy. If it ever doesn't crisp up enough I just take it out of the package, place it on a paper towel and cook it for another few seconds. My 2nd favorite thing about this product is that clean up is a breeze! No excess bacon grease to dispose of and no pan to wash.

I use this product A LOT and I am usually pleased with the product. The last few packages that I have purshased have been less than gratifying. Not sure how it can be so different from one to the other. This is a picture of last purchase.

I would not buy this again!
I followed the directions, the inside slices were still raw. As someone who is disabled cooking regular bacon is a challenge so I thought this would be a good option but no. I will just go back to regular bacon. So disappointed!
