I used to make this regularly years ago, it stunk up the house. I physically got nauseous from the smell. I did not consume it.

The sausage has no taste. Hot means hot. This taste like eating ground pork made into hamburger patties. No taste at all very disappointed.

Prior to this most recent purchase of Jimmy Dean Premium HOT breakfast sausage, it's the ONLY brand allowed in the home. Awesome in everything, from breakfast to dinner. I have to say this batch is full of H20 and flavorless. It could be multiple reasons why it's not holding up to the brand standard. If the ingredients have changed, I hope this is not what your intention was. YIKES! Will I try again? Absolutely, only once~maybe twice just to make sure this batch is gone! I am happy, in general, with the brand and Thank you... Sincerely ~ Looking for the flavor

Now I can just buy any other brand of sausage since Jimmy Dean changed their recipe. The hot sausage is what made my gravy taste so good, but it has consistently tasted different and apparently the manufacturer made changes. Will no longer pay the high price for the same taste as all the other brands.

What happened ? For years delicious...the last few years tastes like vinegar with a weird texture

Unlike other reviews, this is actually about the product and not the delivery of the product sigh. It’s OK. not particularly hot and overly sweet. Do we really need corn syrup in breakfast sausage? Do I want my breakfast sausage to taste like some weird meat dessert? No.

I enjoy Jimmy Dean sausage but would like to know if this sausage has apple cider vinegar or distilled vinegar. My daughter has an allergy to distilled vinegar. Thanks!

I love this sausage but want to serve it in a dish for someone allergic to garlic. The ingredient list does not say if garlic is an ingredient. Is garlic in the sausage roll?

Only sausage we have bought for years. The last two purchases something changed. The flavor is not the same and not for the best. I thought it was me but others have said the same the thing.

This sausage had a Rotten smell

Arrived outdated . In order for a refund I have to drive 30 miles back to the store and they are out of stock and can’t even replace it. Really Target!!

This has no flavor, and it isn’t spicy at all. I used it in a lasagna.

For years I have seen “Hot” sausage on the label. Never bought it because I had access to “Italian” sausage. I’ve moved south. And many staples I could find at the store are not available here. So I bought the “hot” thinking this is what southerners call “Italian”. As I’m sending my husband to the store, I thought that I should have checked the ingredients on the Hot sausage. I look online first… no list of ingredients. I pull the pkg out of the freezer and it doesn’t list any spices at all. And in my mind, nothing “hot”. So what makes this HOT? natural Flavor? Natural flavour of pork wouldn’t be hot. I thought all food companies were required to list all ingredients. So I’m left still not knowing if this qualifies as Italian or some type of “hot” or spicier seasoning that could be used for breakfast. It will stay in the freezer unused since I don’t know what’s in it and how to use in my recipes. Seasonings and ingredient list matters. I unfortunately can’t accurately rate it until I try it and I won’t cook it until I know which recipes to use in.

This was the only sausage I used for year's and we loved it. Since September 2023 it has been horrible. The meat looks different, fry's different, tough, and taste completely different. Never again will I buy it, unless you fix y'all's issue. I've seen plenty of people notice too.

I like to bake the sausage roll, whole, the night before. Then, slice it afterward and brown it in a pan in the morning. Much less mess and time during the morning breakfast rush. Put it on a mini bagel with some egg & cheese. It's quick and delicious!

I have eaten Jimmys Dean hot breakfast sausage for over 30 years. Recently there has been an issue with the texture when cooking, patties for apart. Seems like there may be more water. I will be changing brands if something doesn't change quickly.

This sausage has just the right amount of kick to make any breakfast or dips flavorful. This is my favorite flavor of all of the Jimmy Dean Sausage rolls.

I use this to make any of my meat recipes to stand out. The taste is just amazing. I’ve made spaghetti with meat sauce, dumplings, mabo tofu, meat pies and what not. Even just daikon and pork sausages tastes sooo good. My husband never liked cooked daikon before but now he absolutely love sit and craves for it time to time.
